I agree, he lucky he didn't crash and the police didn't kill him...

If it's just an illegal left turn, why is he being asked to step out of the car on what appears to be a routine traffic stop? If there's probable cause/an issue that warrants them asking him to step out of the car, they would(or should) have articulated why that is.

I was pulled over for doing 32 in a 25 (nyc speed limit) cops was acting like they found Osama Bin Laden.
Cops on both sides banging on the window hands on their weapons.
I don’t feel safe in their presence…and now they need u to step out for officer safety….FOH
An illegal left turn does not create an officer safety issue so this is not a lawful order,
You have to have reasonable evidence that someone has a weapon…u don’t get to just search everyone.

It's crazy and that's why it be shootouts at those traffic stops. Cops be aggressive trying to intimidate someone until they run into the wrong one.

I'd bet it escalated because the driver refused to cooperate by providing his license and proof of insurance or any other info.
I've seen a lot of these videos where simple traffic tickets get turned into something far more serious because people refuse to provide information.
If you think you've been wronged or harrased by the police fight that battle later but don't give them what they want in the moment by acting a damn fool.
Some of these cops be doing too much regardless to intimidate people which lead to people being nervous choking even when they comply. Cops aren't people you can be comfortable with.
Besides people have been wrongly harassed during those stops.
But If a person lead a cop to chase them then whatever happens is their own fault.
But with this video being shown and the title of what happen in that video, it's hard to feel bad for him since he was wrong for having the cops chase him.
He can barely speak English, he doesn't know his rights, he can't comprehend basic instructions and help when available, his heart starts racing and then he panicked. To top it off he sped off in motherfucking ALABAMA. Shiiiiit
