A former South Texas high school football player who tackled a referee in 2020 after being ejected from a Texas high school football game pleaded no contest to a charge of assault-causing bodily injury on Tuesday morning, according to CBS 4 News.
He got that one moment of sweet sweet satisfaction in exchange for a possible lifetime of regret.
To live as an outlaw is very alluring until the bill comes due.
So true...
....and?! I'm sure his football career is either over or he made EXTREMELY hard for him to go to the next level to play.
Plus, he has an assault on his record.
and he's not going to prison. That's all I was stating. Although his football career in any form is likely over, he still has a chance to start over if he keeps his nose clean moving forward.
His next real hurdle is the pending civil lawsuit against him.
