People Trump brain is long gone at this point. Also Todd, which I don’t really care for most of the time made a good point on why Trump is tripping hard right now.
I'm not even sure that it's about him saying what they're thinking anymore. It's about him being "tough" and strong enough to say what he thinks and not care about it.
It's like watching the TV show House. We all agree that you absolutely wouldn't want to actually have a friend, coworker, etc. like House, but he makes for an interesting (and sometimes entertaining) character.
Trump's followers no longer differentiate reality from entertainment, so they clamor to Trump because he displays that same level of freedom. Agreeing with it is just tangential. This is also why he is starting to shed support. Because people are actually starting to wake up to the possibility that they can have competent leadership and not some shitshow.
