Because they use abortion (and other issues, like student loan forgiveness) as a carrot for their voters. They do just enough to look like they're fighting to protect it without actually doing what they could do to enshrine it in law.
Exactly and then you had people in here a few weeks ago talking the need for some to take civics classes. My question to those people is have they taken any history classes, There are powers that a president has that is not written in any book and not taught in any class. There are also unwritten rules of that office.
