All things considered, yea, it was a good campaign but there’s no way you can continuously fuck people over and expect them to follow you. At some point, you have to give people SOMETHING. If you listen to Republican grievances, all they wanted was gas and egg prices to come down. Sometimes it’s that simple. And in that regard, Democrats overshot the basics or at minimum didn’t do enough to win those people over.

As for Trump, where to begin. He made everything so much worse and Black life expectancy and wealth significantly decreased under him.

Brother, an “easy win”? We need to stop thinking like this. None of these groups’ wins were “easy” from the beginning. They were fought for. In the 80’s I never would have imagined gay marriage would be legal. I never would have imagined that men would be able to change their sex and be protected to compete in women’s sports. We have been “talking” about Reparations for years. Studies have been conducted. We are owed it. We have given over 175 Billion dollars to Ukraine. Over 18 Billion dollars and Billions in weaponry to Israel. We spent almost 5 Trillion in Covid relief, many of which was misallocated. We have the money for Reperations. We just don’t demand support for it. We are looking for “easy wins”. This is why Biden was comfortable saying that LBGTQ was his priority and then asking for our support the very next election. This is why Harris (a black woman) refused to even voice support of Reperations. Brothers, enough is enough. We need to stop with this “least evil” stuff and demand support for Reperations in order to get our support.
