Again, between Harris, Biden, and you could maybe say Obama, there was an overwhelming focus on inclusion and being “woke.” In one form or another. Meanwhile the important matters were forgotten about.
And you can forget about them for a bit but eventually you’re gonna have to address it and win your base back or else we run the risk of the Orange Cheetos motorcade clogging up Pennsylvania Ave. People weren’t gonna give up their basic needs and security just to be inclusive virtue signalers.

I stated finger pointing is going around in the party. Blame is being put on Black Men, White Women, Latino Women, LGBT and other issues.
President Obama mentioned after Trump got inaugurated back in 2017 that Trump is not the problem, he is a symptom of the problem.
It’s been pointed out by a number of people in this thread that Misogyny/Racism played a part. That is correct.
But the main issue goes back to the 1980s when President Reagan (R) was in office and he kicked in “Reaganomics”.
The Democratic Party reluctantly went along with Reagan’s Neoliberalism creating the “Blue Dog Democrats”. These were Democrats who were Moderate with some Conservative views.
Massive cuts to Education and the Social Safety Net (Anybody remember “The Black Teenage Welfare Queen”?).
NAFTA was created during the Reagan/Bush administrations and signed into law by President Clinton (D). This trade deal immediately kicked in the exportation of American Factory jobs, destroying the unions and diminishing the Middle Class. Over the decades we started seeing more adults working in the service sector (Fast Food and Retail) doing jobs traditionally held by high school/college kids.
The Drug War was applified by Reagan and kicked into full gear by Clinton with the Crime Bill, creating the Private Prison Industrial Complex and turning police into a paramilitary style organization with surplus military gear.
Democrats (including Biden who was a Senator during all that and supported it) went along with them sucking up to the GOP.
The GOP has been playing the long game since the 1970s. They realized with all the social change of the 1960s (Civil Rights Bill, Voting Rights Act and later Roe V. Wade and creation of the Birth Control Pill), they were a dying a party and sat down and played the long game.
The GOP knew back in the 1970s the White Population was diminishing and would be a minority at some point in the 21st Century. President Nixon (R) kicked in the “Southern Strategy” by playing on White peoples fear of race and that non-whites are rising up and will get revenge/retribution on the White Population (sound familiar?)
Someone posted earlier about Lee Atwater. He is the mofo who was part of the Southern Strategy.
Another mofo was Paul Weyrich, co-founder of the Heritage Foundation, the below video explains itself…
Trump didn’t follow this and just came right out and said it starting with him coming down in Trump Tower to announce his candidacy and talking shit about Mexicans.
Lots of Democrats went along with Weyrich, we have seen it over the decades with the Democratic Party doing a piss poor job of “Get Out To Vote” to its electorate. Clinton, Obama and Biden really didn’t run good campaigns, they won cuz folks got fed up with the GOP.
And as we see with Harris, they ain’t fed up with the GOP and put them back in power.
Long story short, there are other things over the decades that helped Trump win. In the past four years the Democrats did nothing to shut him down with the Justice Department and allowed him to run circles around them cuz they didn’t want to make Republicans mad.
In the end, like some have pointed out, folks are gonna learn the hard way starting next year.
