I'm trying to understand at this point why there isn't open source medicine like there is open source software? It's insane how much our government spends on drug research and the results are price gouged back to the American customer (maybe I'm talking some nonsense bullshit but just and idea).

Too big, too complicated, too expensive and accuracy and safety needs to be beyond top notch.

Drug development for example takes YEARS through multiple phases…

You can fuck up and break a server, computer, or two. Cant fuck around with the human body like that.

Two things. First, the network itself has been slowly drifting towards being more centrist. And, to be fair, they never actually said or implied they were the voice of liberalism or anything. They always touted themselves as being the voice of truth (in opposition to the lies and misinformation that others spread). It just so happens that the biggest spreader of misinformation was a giant conservative squawk box, so they basically became a liberal viewpoint by default.

Second, I'm pretty sure that the network has consistently put pressure on them to be more "even" in their coverage and viewpoints. Trump winning the election gives the powers that be more leverage to apply that pressure to them, whether it's fear of Trump's retaliation or just making some effort to appeal to other demographics.

And honestly, if you can't sell being anti-Trump/anti-neocon to the voters in enough capacity to get a positive result, I can see an argument being made that you shouldn't keep trying to do it to the viewers.

If they are anywhere near as tired as I am of dealing with this bullshit, I can honestly see them not burning the emotional energy required to get a head of steam going about this on a daily basis. Might as well just start learning to roll with it, at least for the time being.
MSNBC started out as right-wing. They had Michael Savage on there calling people "faggots" and telling them to die from AIDS. Pat Buchanan, who's basically a fucking nazi, was on there for years. Rachel called him "Uncle Pat." Tucker Carlson and even Ann Coulter worked there.

It only went "left" because Olbermann was on there criticizing Bush and later Fox and O'Reilly. BTW, he hates MSNBC now and talks shit about the network and his former friend Rachel Maddow on his podcast.

At the end of the day, it's a corporate enterprise so it's inherently right of center.

He seems bitter about something. He pretty much hates all of his former co-anchors and talks about all of the news bitches he's fucked. But his analysis is as sharp as ever.

I have no opinion on the Angel Reece thing. As long as he didn't pull an Imus about her, I don't mind continuing to listen to him.
