Yeah, the original "V" was pretty good.

So was the "War of the Worlds" remake that played as a mini series too. (back in the 80s)

I used to watch that show and wonder how close would this theme be applied to "real" worldwide alien contact ... or for that matter the return of the God/Gods of religions.

Would we believe what they tell us about themselves ... about ourselves, would we fight back the perceived take over of our culture, society, govts? History (and the Bible) seems to suggest that we will do just what the show suggests. Some will accept them and others will reject them. War will break out and the fighters will lose. What becomes of those left after that is anybody's guess.
