Still don’t think New York is back from its long pandemic slumber? Let Verzuz’s next battle change that. The series of hip-hop face-offs announced that legendary New York groups the Lox and Dipset (a.k.a. Diplomats) will be the next competitors. The Yonkers crew of Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch and Harlem crew of Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Freekey Zekey, and Juelz Santana will trek downtown to Madison Square Garden, where they’ll play hits at the arena’s smaller Hulu Theater on August 3. “NYC stand up this one is for the history books!!!” Verzuz tweeted, announcing the battle. Pull out your Yankees hats, lace up your Timberlands, and get ready to throw your back out with some throwbacks.

I mean when we say dipset are we talking Cam'ron, Juelz, and Jim? Or is this gonna be the badtardized version where we get something like Jim, Zekey and J.R.?

I mean I'd assume they only playing the records that charted? So if that's the case we probably going to hear a lot of solo shit from Jimmy, Cam and El.........I'd expect probably 4 recorded from DI.Dipset in an upset; ‘Diplomatic Immunity’ on its own can ride this Verzus for a cool 6-8 joints.
Shit then factor in the eras? Dipset can go from the 90's to the 2010's......I don't think Lox have that luxury.....but then I don't know the approach are we just dropping the hit records? I'd imagine so.
Can't change time. But kinda wish Kiss and Fab didn't happen, if it meant that Jada can't do the solo songs that would go against Cam's solo songs.

I favor the Lox as artists particularly Jada but Dipset as a group and solo artists have way too many hits.
