Granted, I haven’t been to West End Mall in 20 years…450 million? No way! That must be bc of the proximity to Tyler Perry’s studio.

when they say "affordable", how much is the rent exactly??
That's how they get ya by making a hand full of the apartments affordable while the rest follow the normal price going for appartments like that.

What's affordable to them usually isn't affordable to the poor person.

This is going on across the country huh cause them cac's don't want affordable housing in their neighborhoods so their buying empty malls and using them which is a good idea

More like it's proximity to the Gulch. And that area is already starting to be gentrified anyway.

As for affordable housing,no. They'll pull the same shit they just did with the Gulch development where the company would rather pay a fine than include "affordable units"

They need to develop housing for us in the white community so that your children can attend their schools. I want to attack white women jogging in their neighborhood (Central Park Five). The whole area is going to have to be scorched before CACs move there though.

CACs are already moving into the area. The Lee and White development is a couple of blocks away from West End. It's got multiple breweries, a food hall, a gelato spot, an indoor rock climbing spot and a place that sells kombucha. What says CACs are in the area more than a spot selling kombucha? CACs are riding bikes, walking their dogs and pushing strollers over there now.

Ok...ots wasnt "sold" for $450MM. Its going to br a $450MM "development. Bet it was sold for a fraction of that.

"Affordable" is the new word for "projects"
Interesting cause in nyc most of the time the term affordable is usually hidden condos that a small percentage is rented out to section 8.. so out of those 900 apts less than 100 would go to section 8 and the rest would be several thousand a month.. they use affordable term for their gentrification tactics
