I've been drooling over this TV right here oh, and 82 inch Samsung UN82MU8000 4K, 2160p Smart LED TV.

I've I've done my market research and by all accounts it is a wonderful television. Market research also states that the $3,297 is the going rate universally for this television.

My question is, will it get lower?

There are several "seasons" in TV Sales: Super Bowl, March Madness, Black Friday, and Christmas/end of the year sales.

Black Friday is when they dump the TVs that didn't sell so usually the deals you get on Black Friday are not good quality televisions.

I know the next year's models come out after the Superbowl, but I don't know if just before the Super Bowl or before March Madness is the best time to pick up on the best of the previous year's models oh, and this TV is top notch in my opinion. Gaming, movies - it's mancave perfection

So what's the best time of year to buy this television here? Do I buy it now or do I wait for the Super Bowl and hopes the price will go down more

Traditionally its always been the two weeks leading up to Super Bowl. Nowadays tv tech changes so rapidly it probably also depends on when new models are released throughout the year..

I've been using this site to keep track of pricing on a few models that I'm looking at buying next year. Lowest prices are typically somewhere between Black Friday and March or so when the new models come out.

Anyone own this TV? I'm hesitant to get an OLED bc of the burn-in concerns, but it's between this TV and an LED/LCD Sony X900F.

Yeah it's time for me to upgrade my living room TV, I bought a TCL 55 inch 4k HDR for my man cave last fall for only $600. That TV looks great too. I want a 75 inch or bigger for my living room. I read that Black Friday is the best time to look for one but I also read a few years ago that looking for one all year long you can find one at a good price.

OLEDs have the best picture but it's not a set it and forget it TV because of burn in concerns...I have had a plasma for years and I think most mainstream burn in concerns are overblown...there is image retention which goes away in a few minutes in my experience but that should not be confused with burn in which is permanent...they have tested the OLEDs and you have to do a lot to get burn in....you cant leave static images on the screen for hours and don't leave your TV on for hours on something like CNN that has the scrolling ticker....also you shouldn't watch old content that has the vertical black bars on either side...these were plasma precautions so verify that OLED is the same...I wasnt a big gamer but I gather gamers have special concerns as well....I got used to it pretty quickly and would buy the OLED over the 900f...nothing wrong with 900f (I got prior year 900e) but for the same price it's a no brainer if picture quality is the main concern...there are warranties that cover burn in too

The burn in possibility is the reason why I didn't go with the television listed above and went with a x900e. I knew that even though I would not be able to ever get Dolby Vision on the set I purchased, not having to worry about babying the tv or the possibility of a burn in if it gets accidentally left on for a period of time was worth not going with an oled for me.

Since Dolby Vision is also on the x900f, the two are closer in picture quality than they were a year ago. While it isn't as good as the b7a, it will probably still will be more than sufficient and you'll still be able to get a very good picture out of it.

It all depends on what your preference is. Given that they are similar in price now I would actually try to see if by chance you could find an x930e over the x900f first but if not and you aren't going to be watching a lot of content that will cause image retention go with the b7a
