What is the problem here? Texas is a stand your ground state. This is the perfect stand your ground case. The kid shouldn't even be locked up. He was approached. Some bullies tried to force him to leave. He gave a warning. The bully touched him again after being warned. He stood his ground. This is Texas law. This kid shouldn't do one goddamn day. Now if this was New York State he would have been fucked but this is Texas.

The final message is cool, but does not apply to this situation. Karmello didn't "put himself" in a bad situation. It was raining, he went under the.nearest tent. According to an alleged witness, said witness was standing under the tent with his daughter. Austin didn't approach him. Aleegedly Austin WASNT EVEN ON THE TRACK TEAM! So who made him school security or tent enforcer?

Because apparently a black kid with a knife defending himself is worse than a white kid traveling across state lines, who is then given a gun and "defends" himself.

I've seen it but didn't read to much into because I'm unsure of all of the facts so I'm not for or against anyone in the matter but I do have one question;WHERE WERE THE ADULTS AT DURING THE EVENT?WAS THERE NO SECURITY?NO POLICE OFFICERS?

a few weeks ago they were having a cheerleading event and someone thought they hear what sounded like a gunshot and the place was emptied and the troops a came a running in to save the day.WHERE WAS THE ADULTS?Police?someone with an ounce of authority to step up and dead the issue?

Those track events are in HUGE stadiums with kids in tents all over the place. A lot of them borrow stuff from their parents and set it up themselves, only going down when it's their turn to run.

There are parents there but it's nothing for kids to be at a track meet unattended
