Looks the wolf was minding its own business, it was like a nature traffic jam. The drivers just assumed the wolf wanted to attack the bicyclist....smdh.

At least let them fight for a minute and if the guy goes motionless then step in.
If they see them as helpless then it is just like any other meal they eat. One even tried to drag a small kid into the woods. The grandmother kept hearing the kid crying for her to help and she stepped out back to see the wolf dragging him into the woods and she rushed to them leaped and dove on the wolf. He struggled to get out from under her and then took out running.
Wolves don't like to be around people. So they basically stay away from where people are.
But if you think a wolf won't eat a person, you'd better stay out of the woods.
They won't eat you they'll maul you to death. We don't taste very good to most animals.also in the entire recorded history of the U.S. there hast been one report of death by wolf.
In Australia, they once thought that the "Dingo" didn't eat people either. Until a baby went missing, and they found her bones and clothing in a dingo den.
