found some.

- you don't get any updates so if a big security hole is revealed, you have no way to fix that prob for your client or your site.

- buncha lame kids have learned that stolen themes are a good vehicle to get key loggers, viruses and other shit onto ur machine.

- same lames will also put spam links in the footer or try to hide them in the code.

One slip up here kills your rep for good.

So, for me there's just a lot of shit in the game that makes the $20-$70 for a good theme well worth the investment...

I agree with the not getting updates.
What I usually do is get a pirated themes and if they are profitable I will fhen buy them.

As far the other things that you mentioned, those problems only affects novices in my opinion.
