Cuomo is keeping it real...
FEMA to Gov: "We're sending you 400 ventilators"
Gov. Cuomo: " … You're sending me 400 ventilators when I need 30,000 and you want a pat on the back???"

:frozen:

Reporter: "Trump and some of the conservatives have said that some of the older are expendable. What are your thoughts on that?"
Gov. Cuomo: "Yeah well, my mother is not expendable... and your mother is not expendable.... and our brothers and sisters are not expendable.... and we're not going to accept a premise that human life is disposable... and we're not going to put a dollar figure on human life. First order of business is to save lives.... period.... what ever it costs!"

sidebar: despite what flaws he may have.... everyday..... this governor has been coming out there.... sounding like a damn president.... all of it "off the cuff" too.... without a teleprompter or written speech
:bravo::bravo::bravo:
Trump is holding a grudge because of the ICE issues a month ago.

A mandatory stay-at-home order was just placed, for the city of Charlotte.
Effective starting Thursday morning.
So I'm assuming the Raleigh/Durham area might be next, as it's the next largest area in North Carolina.

:smh: :smh: :smh:

Yeah, NC is picking up cases fast. I think many are attributed to our large college population and those spring breakers went you-know-where and brought you-know-what back here. That's why Durham, Orange, Wake, and Mecklenburg Counties are the hardest-hit areas so far.

I work from home anyways so I'm already used to spending most of my time at home. Food Lion is less than a mile away as well and I have plenty of tp and some meat in my deep freezer so I should be good.

That and idiots who aren't taking it seriously. For every person I saw wearing a mask or gloves, I saw like 3-4 people damn near on top of the next person while in the supermarket or BJs.

They can pull money out of thin air for corporations but when it comes to reparations for black people, trying to improve healthcare and schools and etc....It's a problem...

And,then want American citizens to be okay with cutting Social Security and other programs...

If we had a decent education system, nobody could look at charts showing exponential growth of covid-19 in the absence of quarantine measures and think everything was fine.

If we had a decent health care system, we wouldn't be preparing to see lots of younger Black/Brown people killed by this because of preexisting chronic health issues.

If we actually had something close to a "fair" economic system, Black net worth wouldn't be 10x less than cac net worth and you wouldn't see as many people still not staying home because they can't afford to not work for a while.

Its all bullshit. I have been working from home for a while now and can for much longer if need be but you shouldn't need a fucking graduate degree in order for that to be the case. I have a cousin sick with this shit right now because he doesn't get paid time off and couldn't afford to not work. I also guarantee that as soon as Trump loses, there will be "budget crisis" and will need to make cuts to the social safety net. fuck these cacs man. Lots and lots of people are about to die in a horrible way for no fucking reasons other than greed and callous indifference.
