Welp. (This isn't directed to you.) You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him read. I used to read a book a day and even I get overwhelmed at times, so I understand.
The reason I debated on posting it is because I know folks have a short attention span and have a hard time digesting anything that can't be delivered in 140 characters, or however long a tweet is now.
The problem is, the author isn't short and concise. I think that is important in this case tho as he paints a picture of how viruses enter and affect the body, and the body defenses and how it responds. I kept looking for a paragraph or two that would sum it up, but it just wasn't there.
I wasn't going to post the part at all about the Cytokine Cascade, but he went further into the body response and explained how some herbs counteract or enhance this.
When people think of herbal medicine they think of weak tea, quackery and crystal balls, so that information was important to include. I just dabble, but I think they should be taken seriously. The books I posted are the ones that easily let you see the applications and put them to use quickly, but I have several books, including those that list all the properties, in depth, of herbs.
