People are actually listening. Instead of the media focusing how desolated things are becoming, why not offer some encouragement where it’s warranted.
A bit of praise to the public can go a long way in giving confidence that our actions may be helping decrease the spread.
It’s ok for America to shut shit down for a couple of weeks. It’s not the end of humanity. We are not even close to that. Actions are being took by the people.

Travel prices are cheap now. I can fly from Boston to Miami for 50 bucks or fly to LA for 70 bucks.
Not sure if you knew but Trump simply wanted a payroll tax cut. It was Pelosi and Democrats that pushed for the unemployment benefits.

I'd like to have both. Give the people unfortunate to be laid off get extended benefits. And I'll tax the tax cut.
But a lot will be unemployed for a bit with all this, take care of them first. (But if Trump still has that tax cut on the table..)

We are in this odd world where the President is saying things are perfectly fine and you have Republicans saying that everyone should still go out to public restaurants and drink Corona... while at the same time... Nobody in government is actually telling people what’s the plan.
While I agree that the media has mostly politicized this thing.. it’s crazy that they have been more accurate about this then our own government. I mean over 2000 cases across the nation in less then 2 months since the first case is insane.
And the fact that we have states that don’t have testing..
Puerto Rico has 11 cases... and as of last week didn’t have the means for testing.

Yes. They are instituting emergency procedures allowing those who cannot work to receive unemployment benefits immediately without the week wait to start.
Also low interest rate emergency loans with terms up to 30 years up to 2 mil are becoming available. I may take advantage of that
