I should be fasting right about now anyway........got plenty

of 2019 shit to burn off

I pulled my groin back in the middle of February, so I took about 3 weeks off. During that time I regressed endurance wise something awful. However, when I got back into running, my body didn’t get sore. I just had to get my endurance back up.

The run I had today felt good as hell. I’m trying to get my mileage back up to 5 and over per run, but a solid 3 miler gets me right. I did two of the 3 miles under 10 minutes.

After that, I hit 2 to 3 hundred on the jump rope. Heart and lungs are important in regulating any type of viral infections.

yea I used to do a lot of running.. I got addicted to the high..

but I lost way too much muscle mass to the point.. my ex at the time was like are you dying..lol

Now I just hit the elliptcal, or when I go running I run with a forty pound weight vest and twenty pound heavy hands

runners weights, to get that resistence so very little muscle mass is loss..

funny thing is, as a result of eating more leafy green shit and changing cardio from distance running to resistance running..

I went from six feet to six and three inches.. from one seventy to two fifteen....

the only thing that sucks is, while I feel much stronger.. my acceleration is not as quick, and Im not as flexible with more muscle mass..

other than that.. feel great... so yea

try running with a weight vest.. it will do wonders for your posture..

that if you run with your back straight of course.. I cringe when I see dudes working out with a weight vest and they are hunched over....

they are not only defeating the purpose, they are making the situation worse..

but running with one on properly... back straight etc..

it will up your whole game......

belee dat

oh and what do you take before a run... I like a nice green juice, or some green tea, and of course water to get the

sweat glands pumpin...

if you just take water, you should take a multi vitamin or mineral, it will help with recovery, when your body breaks down after a long run

Bruh, I have a 130 pound Alaskan Malamute that runs with me. You wanna talk about resistance?! Lol.

That big mofo be making me work. Makes my run harder than what it has to be. I don’t take him everytime because I have personal run goals with one being a marathon by the end of the year.

I’m at 215 now, but I want to get that down to about 205. I need to be lighter on my feet for the long runs. In December, I was doing an 8 mile run per week. Non stop. That’s when marathon visions kicked in.

I only do calisthenics to increase my density and strength. I’m not a huge fan of strength training with any type of weights. Mainly because of what you mentioned. Injury risk. My focus is my heart and lungs. So I supplement my flexibility training with yoga stretches.

I do protein bars before I run, which is usually in the morning. Afterwards, I follow up with oats and fruit. For dinner I do rice meals and veggies, which different choice of protein (chicken or fish).

I’m not 100% with this lifestyle. I still have food vices, but I’m not ashamed of them anymore since I workout regularly. At work, I’m a hot tea drunker, so I have a variety of shit I use.

Turmeric, ginger, and lemon tea is my go to for healing powers. When used on a regular, that shit is magical. I have others depending on what I feel like my body needs; chai tea and all spice (lung clarity), green tea and ginger (immune booster), and Black tea and ginger (energy for long work days). All those teas support kidney, liver, and digestive functionality as well.

Awww a fellow tea drinker! I knew I liked you for a reason.

I advocate for it. I have a carrying case for a variety of tea bags. I’m known as the tea drinker. I’ve put so many people on. The healing powers are for real.

I mostly tell folks, it’s not a one time thing. You have to drink it regularly to gain the benefits from it.

What are your preferred choices, especially for immunity build?
