Talked to my mom yesterday evening. She's in her late-60s and lives about 4 - 4.5 hours away. Asked her what they're doing to adhere to the self-isolation & distancing. She mentioned the following, and they may be helpful for the BGOL fam' with older family members and relatives. Stuff to occupy your time:
- Jot down the TV series or movies you want to catch up on. Whether it's saved on the DVR, On Demand, Netflix, or regular dvd or blu-ray. Good time to catch up on stuff you other wise wouldn't get around to
- If you've got some yard or garden space ... tend to same weather-permitting so long as you're steering clear of any neighbors (and still permitted to go outside)
- Put out some items (in-house) for exercise such as mats or yoga gear ... exercise ball ... light free weights or resistance band(s) ... stationary bike ... etc
- Use your computer or tablet and do Sudoku, crossword puzzles or those brain teaser games or apps
- If you've got any puzzles ... put them out on a coffee table or side table . Same for old board games
- Catch up on music or podcasts ... podcasts are great when you line them up in a playlist to play one after another
- Keep in touch with your friends & family via phone, email, text, Skype, Facetime, or whatever
