Xbox Series X/S Microsoft - Black Ops 6 was the biggest Call of Duty release ever, setting a record for day one players as well as Game Pass

Looking at it as a Xbox 1X vs. Xbox Series X/S
Gotcha. Yea if you not a hardware addict it makes sense. Nothing yet that says get it now. Microsoft is even aware of that. But the trade it for a X1 is about to be bad. Probably try ebay or something. It's 130 now at gamestop. Probably gonna drop once the system releases.

They should've delayed this game.

Yea fuck them. This is ridiculous.
"Essentially though, you can upgrade to Control Ultimate Edition for $39.99, but it is a completely new game with a different save file. This means that you will have to start your game all over again (there is no transferrable save file between Standard and Ultimate Edition)."

They should but they won't. I heard Phil doesn't have a good relationship with them or he doesn't like their games. They should buy Quantic Dream, that studio knows how to use a consoles power.

But they decided to hire Remedy to make the Exclusive campaign for Crossfire X .. so they have a relationship.

It isn't anything like that. Microsoft published Alan Wake and Quantum Break for Remedy but they also own the IP for both. Remedy wanted to do sequels to both, Microsoft doesn't and said neither sold well enough to justify it. So if either is going to go forward, Remedy has to buy the IP back from Microsoft, which they have done at least for Alan Wake.

It's doubtful that there's any real bad blood between the two, but Remedy has made it clear that they want to be entirely responsible for their own destiny going forward, so it's unlikely that they would sell to anyone, at least for now.

Good point but both companies always sold their hardware initially at a loss but recouped the losses through software sales. The economy is hitting kinda different now we'll see.
Agree, but losing an extra hundred dollars per console would be crucial. Just think how the refurbished would have to sale for if they start at 399. Sony might eat the bullet, but I seriously doubt it.

If Sony decides to sell the PS5 at $399 MS is washed.

Contrary to belief, Sony didn't sell the PS4 at a loss to achieve that. It was because memory prices dropped a lot quicker than expected the year the PS4 came out. If memory prices did what the industry expected in 2013, it would have shipped with 4gb of memory, and the same price as the Xbox One ($499). This is why Microsoft initially had no problem dedicating a specific amount of memory to Kinect because they expected to have a memory advantage.

This time, the cost of the machine is largely tied to the SSD cost on both systems. PCI Express 4.0 grade memory is still quite high, Nor is it 2006 where the entire electronics arm was dead set at getting Blu-Ray to succeed, despite the costs. Microsoft has made it clear, they want you to sign up for Game Pass, even making the systems cheaper if you agree to sign up for two years. It's going to be hard for Sony to eat $100+ this time around.

never will happen ,maybe the discless but not there flagship console.
I do not think ms would have released a price without having some idea of what Sony was going to do.
facts they knew all alone thats why they dropped the price of the series s to $299 to hurt sony.

you right, but sony's is in a rut right now the balls in there court and there against the wall trying to figure a way out of this but they cant.sony knows they put a lot into this console and there already taking a lost as it is even at $499 there taking a huge lost not only on software but on the design of the system.there's no way sony will drop that low their systems will be $399 discless and $499 for flagship one.
