Yea people are still holding on to the console sales fight. They need to be able to see what is coming down the line. Google is still a threat with their money and access to us. Amazon is a huge threat due to money and being fully Integrated into our lives now. Make Luna a Prime perk, make a Prime discount for the controller and add Alexa and you got a problem. And FaceBook is still working on something and we know that they have immediate access to all of us as well as the funds to do so. And who knows if Apple still wants to compete. If internet was a utility and given to everyone, the cloud fight would already be going on.
MS did deliver a gut punch to Sony for real we'll see what goes down this November and please ya'll, be civilized, don't get into a shoot out over a damn game system(the exact opposite is going to happen I know).
I REALLY hope that Sony isn't expecting people to install these damn things. That will turn off the casual fan but the Geek Squad would love it.I think PS5 has a similar problem but it's for the $499 unit....

Samsung has announced its new uber-fast SSD hard drive, and it could be the first that Sony whitelists for use in the PlayStation 5. As expected, it’s not cheap: 250GB will cost you $89.99, 500GB will retail for $149.99, and 1TB will set you back $229.99. Compared to the $219.99 cost of the Xbox Series X’s expandable storage, this is agreeable considering it's significantly faster. Furthermore, the hope is that because it’s not a proprietary format, the costs will come down quicker.
The specifications, with read and write speeds of 7,000MB/s and 5,000MB/s, do roughly match the PS5, although the Japanese giant has said it’ll publish a whitelist of supported drives in the near future, so we wouldn’t recommend podding out for this until the manufacturer confirms its compatibility. They really listened to the fans and really tried to put in a lot of work into this. There is another game called Axis football that doesn’t look anywhere close to as good as maximum but it does have the deepest franchise mode on the planet... I really wish they would join forces

Playstation beat the shit out of Xbox last generation and they will likely sell more units this generation, but Xbox the brand is likely going to end up making WAAAAAAAAY more money then Sony will this next generation.
So this is how I see the Resident Evil situation. So RE8 was a current gen game. Then they got the dev kits and said hey we can add all of these ideas that we had. Then they added them and it fucked with the PS5 version. So they are toning it down and going back to being cross gen until this other game becomes 9 which will be the true next gen game in the series. But this is always how it is with Sony. Hype first, details later. Just get it done in time. So no way they will delay this.
I'm a huge RE stan so I'm always paying attention to what Capcpm is doing. My wife had the nerve to ask me why I am playing RE again. Like she didn't see me finish 7 like 10 times or the remakes 10+ times. I traded in my PS4 versions to buy them all over again on XBox just to play on the same system as 8. Still my favorite series. Back to getting 100% achievements AGAIN. Yes I have a problem.

So I just found out that Microsoft dropped the wrong build of the game on the gameplay store... so my review is going to be delayed until this afternoon.
