Xbox Series X/S Microsoft - Black Ops 6 was the biggest Call of Duty release ever, setting a record for day one players as well as Game Pass

Also for those with Madden I noticed that a 30 gb series X install was added when I moved my games.. that is going to go to the internal hard drive.

I have to be honest with you ... PS5 people are going to have some serious storage problems quickly. I’m still getting one next year.. but I read that unlike Xbox box.. you can’t move ps5 games to an external to store and save space.
Sony be pimping their customers.

i didn’t think that I was going to notice shit and I was very wrong .... everything just moves, looks and plays better... I’m playing Madden right now and it just looks crispy... everything just moves and looks so much crispier ... even the none Xbox series games..

I’m still tripping out how Infinite Warfare is like playing like a PC version right now...

I’m just going to keep testing games...

The only real downsides that I have are that my OTA antenna and my Kinect are DOA on this new Xbox. They will both be missed..

I also discovered that the Xbox can only handle 3 external drives at once... that includes the segate drive ... since the segate is only 1 tb.. I would pass on the segate and get 3 5tbs external drives ... Amazon is having a special right now. The bigger drives give some flexibility

call of duty Cold War... out the box is 132 gbs.. and I couldn’t figure out how to just download the campaign like they said...
I have 2 drives connected and was going to use a small USB drive for movies. I thought it was giving me an issue with all 3 but it may have been because I was moving so much around. Put the optimized games on the internal to get the big updates. I use the Samsung SSD from this video for games I am going to frequently play to get the best loading times. The rest go on my 5GB drive.

But State of Decay 2 has been the only game I had a chance to really play because of work and it made my tv seem new. FPS jumped and its a little bit cleaner. Had to adjust a bit to it. Quick Resume has it's issues here and there but they said they are working on the bugs for that. But I still notice it jumping back in even with the system being turned off.

You can use up to 3 external drives.. with zero issue... I was trying to use 4 because I moved all of my internal xbox one x games to another hard drive... So thats when I figured out the problem.. Im not getting the Samsung SSD until there are more Xbox optimized games. 219 for 1 tb .... doesn't work for me if it eliminates one of my other external larger external drives. Im just waiting on a better solution.

Got all 3 working. Was just having an issue because of all the moving around. The internal for optimized, the 2 TB SSD for frequently played games, 5 TB Western Digital for everything else and 256GB USB Stick for movies. Want to see if the Seagate card fucks it up but I'm waiting for it to drop. Only having 1TB is a crime so I see why Sony hiding the HD size on the back of the box.

I have a question concerning storage I haven't been able to find a concrete answer for.

If I keep my backwards compatible games on a HDD, will I still see a performance update? I know I won't get the extra quick load times but will it at least play significantly better?

Yes, you'll lose quick loading, but the games will run smoother overall. If it uses a dynamic resolution it will stay with the high resolution and not down scale. If the frame rate is unlocked the game will run smoother. There is auto hdr so lighting will look better. Etc

Also, anything optimized for one x will apply to series x.

However, if it's optimized for series consoles, like gears of war, it will have to be on the SSD.

You think Amazon and Microsoft Store will stock up before Black Friday?

I think there's a better chance that you can get a console from those two sites then the other's before Black Friday. Who knows maybe they will sneak a few in.

Here is a site tracker site that i posted pages back. The comment section is more useful then the tracker though. Tracker is way off on Microsoft store consoles

Xbox Series X

PS5

Feels good to be out of the console search. It is still wild out here.

Try a different media player. (media player go, VLC) I can't play certain media files on my NVIDIA shield unless i use VLC, or the Archos media player.
