NBA nowadays is full of PRIMADONAS and players who feel happy slapping others in the buttocks and other homo like tendencies with wives who are good at nothing but whoring themselves to the media with the support from their whorish attention seeking husbands

50 years ago ...wilt scored 100 points against the knicks in 1962

In a word.... NO!!!!! Defense in the NBA is a whole lot different than it was in Wilt's day. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I know Elgin, and Kobe scored in the 70's; but 70+ ain't a 100. :smh:

Kobe is the only player since Wilt that I believe could have done it.

It's about more than skill and endurance.

You have to be an unrepentant chucker to pull something like this off. I believe that most players, after they score a certain number of points, become 'gun shy'.

Perhaps A.I. COULD have, but I said Kobe because he is extremely unrepentant, and he got the closest.

If it was JUST about skill and ability, a number of players could potentially do it.

On NBA TV now.

Will also repeat at 2AM, 2/2 12PM and 3/4 at 1AM.

Dude was phenomenal. Any talk of bests of all time that does not include this man is a waste of time.

I still can't believe how anyone with an ounce of pride could let ol boy score 82 points!:smh:

wasnt there less rules to call on back then. i heard it was more physical.

Durant has the best chance, he can shoot from anywhere...but if he did drop a 100, Westbrook would put a hit out on him right after the game.

I don't think so.

Wilt took 63 shots that game and made half of them. And less than half of the one he made, were dunks.
Don't forget the 28/32 free throws, when he normally shot around 55%.
I think it might have been possible back in the early 80's when their were much better pure shooters. With today's game, I'd doubt someone would make it to 70.

From what I understand Wilt didnt do it!!

Didnt the power go out or the ceiling was leaking(?) and they needed to stop the game a couple times or sumthing like that??
The next thing u know Wilt got 100!!

Can anyone confirm the validity or am I trippin??

That 81 that Kobe got didnt impress me just like Wilt's 100 doesnt impress me. I would go into the reasons why...but ill save it for later.

Just go analyze both players...both games....the era's...league rules.....what was and wasnt done in order for them to get those points...etc etc.

Its a cute discussion starter....but scoring tons of points..especially against extremely shitty competition is nothing to brag about.

Yes, it can be broken. You have to understand that the D is different today than back then but you cant HAND CHECK any more!! So that means you have no defender. And also there were no 3 point line either. Anything is possible but who gonna be the one. I'm saying Durant!!!

and thats why baseball sucks.... asking 1 man to get at least 1 base hit in 56 straight games out of a 162 game season is too much..

that being too much =

with that being said. aint nobody getting close to 100. 56+ game hitting streak is more likely.

doing that to non pros is one thing

any coach/defense worth their salt is going to try active ball denial if a dude is torching their ass to that extent.

and is that person going to play the full 48?

I think if Durnat didn't play with another scorer like Westbrook he could do it if he got hot and played a sorry ass team such as those Raptors Kobe played

He can score all over the court and makes his free throws

Will NEVER be broken just like his 55 rebound game. Only way it would be broken if the NBA changed the scoring method or adding a 4pt line .

No...not a chance.

Somebody will break Dimaggio's 56 game hit streak first....

I disagree. A good basketball player makes half his shots plus they have free throws. A good baseball player get a hit 1 out of 3 at bats. You are asking a player to get a hit against basically 56 different pitchers all throwing 95mph.

Besides Kobe got 82 points while not playing the fourth quarter. Kobe is not a once in a lifetime scorer. He's one of the best mind you. But if a great scorer on a bad team decided to be selfish it can be broken.

Wrong game...Kobe got 62 not playing the 4th qtr against Dallas.

Kobe said he will break the record tomorrow against the Heat. Said he was gonna teach Wade a lesson for fuckin hard fouling him in a fuckin allstar game. Said he was gonna go off on that bitch D Wade. Said he needs to show him who the second greatest is.

it can happen if the whole team is in on it, meaning the other 4 guys intentionally not shoot on purpose and get the ball to the superstar. like westbrook, harden, etc go to durant before the game and tell him we are letting you shoot every possession, don't worry about. of course he would have to be in the zone...
