Depends. How old are you.

Funny cause I was thinking about starting a thread on Harleys. I currently drive a VROD Muscle and I'm about to get a second bike... A Road King. I was torn between the Road King and the Street glide. I'm 44 and anything bigger then a Street glide just seems too old.

I would go with the Road King for the same reason I am. It's the base model for all other Harleys so you can put on farings, bat wings, trunks and all the other parts and basically make any other model you want.

What are you riding now

what happened to ur 1000? Road King wins, because it doesnt have that stupid upper fairing like the Road Glide.

I would say check this out before you decide.

I thought about a Harley long and hard but after riding the m109 Ive been more than pleased.

Plus I get WAY more looks, compliments, and questions from people than any of the folks I roll with that have both of those Harleys.

Just my 2 cents.

The Road Glide is the better riding bike, it has the frame mounted fairing which isolates wind buffeting from the handle bars.

Ride 'em both and you will definitely notice the smoother ride.

It also looks better to me.

My vote is for the Road King. The Vrod Muscle was my first bike. Been riding for a year. I wanted a real sport bike but I felt I was too old for such things plus I dont need to be on something that fast cause I would kill myself...like I almost do on my muscle.

Again, I like the Road King cause you can do so much with it. I'm looking to pull the trigger myself by mid June. I'm going with the RK Classic. 2013 is gonna be the last year in the US. Gonna lower it and get a removable fairing and trunk for longer trips.

Bought the muscle just for me but ole girl took to riding 2 up big time so now she wants a little more room in the back..plus my Muscle isnt good for the long haul.

I'm hijacking. Go Road King!

Yes but to me its that faring that just makes it unattractive.

had that exact color to, sold it to finish school...i regret that decision some days, as for the harleys i personally like the look of a bagger. Although I have never ridden on one i've always down japs. What purpose do you want, if for highway riding the better full fairing and storage should be a go

street glide is the only cruiser i find appealing,, im still too n luv w street bikes to be worried about cruisers tho

This one of the best looking bikes on the road. I've seen a few riding and they look awesome on the street.

Get the Road Glide. Its a really nice bike. Sure other bikes can go faster but you really aren't trying to win any races on a cruiser anyway. If you can afford it, go for it.

Awesome bike.
After crashing mine, I should have gotten another.
