We already gave you an in-depth look at Avia, and Plex told us about their new Chromecast support. Now, Google is highlighting 8 more apps that have all gotten Chromecast support starting today. That brings us to ten new apps in all, which Google says should be enough to make sure you and your family can easily share your favorite holiday moments and memories this Christmas season. Here’s the full list:

Plex
ReadPlayer Cloud
VEVO
Red Bull.TV
Songza
PostTV
Viki
Revision 3
and BeyondPod
All you’ll need to do is be sure you’re up on the latest versions of your respective app of choice, and you should find a nice new Chromecast button that will allow you to enjoy your content on the big screen. Went ahead and pulled the trigger on one, couldn't beat the price.

Can't wait until NFL mobile gets supported, I get that free every month already and it looks better on my phone than firstrows streams.

my question is, I already have roku,wdtv and a ps3 that I use to stream from my cpu and for hulu plus. What would be the benefit in getting chromecast?

you wouldnt have take all of those devices with you, if you traveled. No need to turn those other devices on. Just your tv and pc. That would be better than having your tv, ps3, and pc on, all the same time.

yeah i got one tuesday, working the kinks out using plex, the signal is choppy coming thru to the tv, i may need another router in there.

Man Hulu Plus streams so bad on my Chromecast and PS3. But netfix streams fine.
