Afrika Bambaataa Sexual Assault Allegations, Testimony & Aftermath [UPDATE: LAWSUIT!]

Bambaataa hs allegedly been doing it for years and it just came out.

Just because you don't hear about it doesn't mean it isn't/hasn't bee happening.

Do you really believe there are no gay L.A. Hip hop cats? Do you really believe none of them have ever got down with a tranny, or molested a child?

You're not that naive.

If you believe that then you probably still leave cookies and milk out for Santa.

I'm not saying that...

But it's interesting that this shit keeps getting leeked out on the east coast. I know there's a whole other side of the game we never see..

But there's so many stories about NY rappers & DJs

I forgot about Busta & Puff too

Man If you believe anything from this mush mouth faggit I really don't know what to tell you cuzzo

see how easy rumours get started and believed, its different when the shoe is on the other foot...

once cacs took over hip hop and picked and choose who they wanted to suceed and who they wanted to shut down it was a wrap...

there is a reason why xclan and public enemy and krs one music and its equivalent is deep underground and all that senseless shit with a catchy beat is front and center...

if africa can prove star and the other dude making the allegations are agents and police informants...

that would help him save some face.....

but some chick not to long ago, said some shit about dr dre and suge knight..

and suge was notorious for raping men and women..

I forgot what radio show she was on and Im in no mood to look for it..

but its not an east coast west coast thing, its an industry thing and that shit covers the whole nation...

from music to film..... and we all know who runs the industries..

Dude you're way too old to still be on this east vs. west bullshit.

Let it go, everything that goes on in NYC is going on in L.A. And thats referring to the good and bad. The only difference is location and weather.

Nigga 30 yrs old with the mind of a 12 yr old.. Can't even classify dude as dumb.. He suffers from mental retardation

How did this thread go from accusations of Bambaataa being a child molester to fuck NYC and all the rappers are gay? What sense does that make.

Bambaataa might have done bad things as a far as these allegations are concerned but lets respect what he's done which is help generations with music, get into making music, make a career out of doing something that people before them thought was just a fad.Without Bambaataa there's a chance that there wouldn't be some of your favorite rappers at all.

Let's keep it a buck fifty talking shit in front of most of those Zulu dudes would get your cranium crack like an egg because remember before they were a rap group organization or whatever classify them as, they were gang members, before bloods & crips,Folks & Peoples, the type of gang members that were depicted in the movie"The Warriors".It might not mean anything to anyone now but what he helped do changed a lot of lives, changed a generation from that point on and it wasn't as political as the civil rights movement but is was just as effective;Nigga's were in every home, concert, event that they weren't welcomed in before and it was nothing the establishment could do.

it takes a nation of millions to hold us back!!!

I don't see why folks going back and forth with that NYC vs L.A. bullshit, because when I was living in L.A. as a youth, I got nothing but love out there, from everybody... And in NY we give L.A. kats love back... Only ones that have a hard time are assholes, and they going to have problems where ever they go...
To this day I am a New Yorker, but part of me is still in the West and will always be..

I agree wirh RoadRage , 34Real and Beatdown...

The dude derailing this thread is taking away from the root of the problem and that's the topic of molestation not NY bias talk. Zulu Nation in general kept hip hop inline and many black millionaires all over the world are eating putting food on the table because of these early hip hop pioneers. The guy derailing this thread is the type of dude that will praise 2pac and overlook his faults and he is the type of dude that will focus on Pac NY rant but Pac had love for a lot of NY folks and was committed in creating his own label to unite both groups.heck even Suge wanted to create Death Row East.

Sad thing is the back and forth is useless. Whenever you focus in one region , you are dismissing other regions that are doing the same thing. The focus should be in the Afrikka Bamatta case.

Look how many child Hollywood LA stars in hollywood fuck up or died and that movie the other guy posted is easily ignored but people stay focus on NY.
Funny thing is as much people hate PDiddy, Suge was exploiting Death Row and Pac.ex : giving people cars but in Death Row name and that they dont own, having that lawyer Kenner be these artisists in house attorneys and the big picture is greed power is a world wide problem. Pac hung out with trouble makers in NY and with trouble makers in LA.

Moleststion in minority communities especially religious folks who deny these accusation from their own houseold.

Whether its LA or NY many kids will get exploited thru pimping child trafficking, rape , molestation, drugs, using rookie producers beats and not giving credit , fucking for tracks, blackmail etc..

The dude defending young thug. If you look at Young Thug style now, he doesent do all that attention whoring shit with gay undertones like he used to. Heck even gay folks were offended if he was using the gay community for media attention. Grandmaster Flash Furious Five dressed that weird way stems a bit from Parliament Funkadelic and show biz stage presence glamour style. Hip hop was rooted in disco r&b witht the glitter the glam ..Now what they do on their spare time is not my bizness only the molestation issue with the Afrika Bambatta case or others is a public concern.

Sometimes when something stikes a nerve or the issue too close to home will make folks derailed threads and deny the origin of this thread.
I believe there is some weird derailing trolling thing going on in this thread.

Anyways, back to the Afrikka Bambatta situation.I wonder how Mick Benzo who is Ice T co- host from his podcast show an early Zulu Nation member feels about this.
They interview great guests from that era.

I want to see bam prove star is an agent that shit would just about finish whatever little career star has left if true...

Cause that's his MO

Dayam!!

I know atlanta although it has some nice places and I think its a much better place to raise a family then in new york...

but they do go hard with the faggotry...

morehouse college had to send a memo around saying men are not allowed to wear high heels.... and this was damn near ten years ago....

but this bambatta thing is news to me... I aint never heard none of those rumours back in the day..

the only shit I remember is a domincan gang called the ball busters and they used to have beef with Zulu nation...

and jews were mad at zulu nation because of thier zulu nation gestapo chant...

a couple of questions...

WHY ARE PEOPLE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT HOMOSEXUALS THAN CHILD MOLESTERS. if you read the thread by far most of the comments are more concerned over homosexuals in general than child molestation in particular.

IF PEOPLE KNEW AND DIDN'T CALL THE POLICE AREN'T THEY JUST AS BAD AS THE JOE PATERNO AND THE REST OF THOSE FUCKERS OR CATHOLIC CLERGY WHO KNEW SANDUSKY OR PRIESTS WAS RAPING KIDS AND DID EVERYTHING BUT CALL THE COPS? How the hell can people know about some shit and just sit on it and be mad?

this is no better than the women blaming cosby 40 YEARS later.

For those who thought rape culture wasn't real...are you starting to see that it is???

Thats the funny thing though.

2pac, the one who us held up as the head of the West when they were talking the East vs. West bullshit, isn't even from the west.

Tupac was born and raised in NYC.

That fact alone should tell people how stupid that whole East vs. West shit was in the first place.

Who is gay who is not, who cares. This nigga has been Molesting kids for almost 4 decades. This shit should be front page on every news site, but somehow it is not. I wonder why? To all you that don't know, half of these music niggas are fags. No big deal. Been that way for years. We naming black people. Please remember that we had to go get checks from fags. #1 being Clive Davis.

Afrika Bam needs to speak as I don't think this will go away without him personally addressing these horrific allegations. Getting a legal team involved as his first response makes it seem as though he's hiding behind them.

I think there's an actual conspiracy against Bill Cosby....

but Bambaata?

Can someone explain to me why there would be an actual conspiracy against Bambaata???.....by the government???

What power does he wield that would have the government after him?

Why would niggas go public and put themselves out there like this, niggas from his own neighborhood?....not some random niggas from across the world....but some niggas that were on the same block from that long ago?

I mean, okay, they could be paid off...but for what purpose and why? To discredit a nigga that barely none of this current generation knows?

Is it some local NYC city government officials that have beef with him??

And cats on BGOL coming out the woodwork saying all of the Bronx knew.:confused::confused:

I just don't see ANY REASON why this dude would be targeted.

Exactly, there doesn't appear to be any reason for anybody apart from the victims to be fucking with this man in this fashion which leads me to believe that all of these claims are true.

Any former members of the soulsonic force said anything yet? I know one of the Jazzy Five, bams former group, said something (that they believe it)

Been doing some research on all this....

the dots are really starting to connect....

EXCLUSIVE: Afrika Bambaataa REFUTES Stabbing, Turns 56 Today

Afrika Bambaataa, Hip-Hop Legend and music pioneer, was reportedly stabbed a few weeks back.

Members of the Zulu Nation have clarified that Afrika Bambaataa has recovered and also dispel rumors related to this event.

Ahmad Henderson, Africa Bambaataa’s manager, who was at the hospital, refuted the notion that he was stabbed.

“Ridiculous. There are too many rumors. Bam checked into the hospital for chest pains. And he came out fine. Three days later he was Radio City Music Hall. If he was stabbed how, was he on stage performing?”

“Afrika Bambaataa was not stabbed so we do not know where this is coming from,” added Mickey Bentson of The Mighty Zulu Nation, who was also at the hospital when Bam was treated.

“Yes he did go to the hospital because of chest pains bothering him and everything checked out alright,” Mickey Benston continued. “So when did he get stabbed? That’s a rumor, sorry that didn’t happen to Afrika Bambaataa.”

Ernie Paniccioli, Hip-Hop Photographer, refuted the claim that the stabbing was the rumored response to a date rape.

Earlier, The Star & Buc Wild Show alleged on air that the stabbing stemmed from a rumored date rape, in which Bam had drugged a man and attempted oral sex.

In the rumor, the man woke up and stabbed the legend.

Ernie Paniccioli told AllHipHop.com this is patently false.

“It is BS,” Paniccioli said, “to hell with anyone who defames a man who has devoted his life to Peace and dignity and who has been a beacon to generations of our youth.”

Brother Ernie goes further, suggesting that this attack on Afrika Bambaataa’s character may be in response to members of the Zulu Nation recently condemning Rick Ross for his date rape lyrics on UOENO .

Brother Ernie warns, “Never underestimate the Devil.”

Afrika Bambaataa is one of the pioneers of break beat deejaying and has spent his life spreading Hip-Hop throughout the world as the founder of the Universal Zulu Nation.

Although Wikipedia lists his birthday as April 19th, sources say his actual birthday is April 17th, he turns 56 today.

Brother Ernie continues, “I have know Bam for 35 years on this Earth and can vouch for him as a man, as a human being and as a mighty leader and yes even as an Icon. I will defend him with every breath I have in me. I can bear witness to his spirit and his warmth and his leadership.”

Check out Afrika Bambaataa at Radio City Music Hall below:

Chuck Freeze of the Jazzy Five, who recorded and performed with Bambaataa and was friendly with Savage when the abuse allegedly took place, says Savage is no liar.

“Ronald was the kind of guy you could trust,” says Freeze, whose real name is Charles Foushee. “You could leave money on the table and know it would be there when you got back. A really good dude. Easy to talk to. Very intelligent.

“We had no idea about this — and we would not have tolerated it if we did. Do I believe it? Yes, I do.”

Even though this may be a tenuous analogy, it's similar to how Hitler promoted the Aryan race ideology and propagated Jews as being bottom of the totem pole, despite the fact he looked nothing like an"Aryan" and he himself had Jewish ancestry.

"And everybody calls me 'Chucky Chuck! Chuka lucka lucka lucka lucka luck!" :ipod:

I find it hard to believe that all of these people didn't know. Yeah, I was told by his relatives, but I had it confirmed by somebody else from Ward Ave. later on in '84 or so. If WE knew, THEY knew! I was down here in the A, and a few of us knew, but the people in the Boogie Down didn't know? Aight. Jus' sayin'.

Yo, @playahaitian : I was in a crew called the Ultimate Crush MC's back in the day, and one of our members was in the Jazzy 5, before they were the Jazzy 5. Cat named Eazy Wiz from Soundview. Dude was sick with it! In fact, one of our routines that he wrote reminded me of the Jazzy 5:

"Listen up! Listen up! Lis, lis, listen up to the Ultimate Crush!
We're sending this message C.O.D.
To all the party people in the place to be!
We're the organization that rocks the nation,

The Ultimate Crush combination!"

Whats funny about the Jazzy 5, they were one of the best original Zulu based group, a bridge between the street sound of the Cold Crush with the recording skills of the furious five...
By all means they should have blown up, but something fishy happened and all ties was cut off abruptly..
