If someone had told me back in 1995, that I would have all my music on hard drives and would get my music over the internet,, I wouldve laughed them right out the room!!

Bruh, you tell no lies.

In college I had a DEEP CD collection; like 350+ (mainly thru the aforementioned BMG/Columbia House hustle). Had like 4 cases of those CaseLogic 100 cd holder joints. One night my frat had a party and the DJ didn’t show up; so I’m in crisis mode while doing some other shit away from the spot; like 30 minutes later my line brother hits me up like “we got music; it’s all good”; I show up to the spot; these niggas went and got their stereo from their spot.....then went to my apartment and got my ENTIRE CD collection for the music; I could have KILLED them.......

Fast forward now; whole college parties being ran off a phone, lol.

"The Motor Booty Affair! This is the big one, the marathon! Not your average 50 yard dash of funk!"

Right on... That was a good ass era if you were a music lover!! Funk, soul and jazz, a bunch of kats playing instruments that made good music!!! Classic

Damn, I know how you feel about your cd collection.. Back in the 90's, I bought that Bob Marley 4disk set and had it sitting up front by the cd player. I had to run to the store and when I came back, my daughter had open that boxset and was spinning those new cds in the holders. She thought she was Jam Master Jay spinning those disc!! All I could do was say NO!!! To make matter worst, my wife looked at me and said I told you, you need to put your stuff where they cant reach it!!

A few years later Napster popped on the scene and my music life hasnt been the same. :laptop:

That set was the shit; you had to be SICK!

I still have all my cassettes, CDs and vinyl. I have a player so I can play each. Every now and again I will buy a CD if it's hard to find and out of print. There is one store that still stocks a lot of analog music that I go to. Since about 2007 or so...CDs weren't necessary. I invested more in harddrives since then. Eventually I will put all my stuff in the cloud. Something about having a physical copy of my music...

I laugh @ dj's & those who claim to have superior music collections not affiliated w/ bgol....

I remember buying my 1st ext hard drive & case for it from fryes in Gwinnett.

Now Im well over 6tbs of music alone.

I pay for the internet..... so to me, I'm paying for anything i download.

You would think that people would be doing all they could to get a physical/ digital copy of what they pay for bit it seems like the streaming game is the biggest truck load of bullshit ever & people love it. You literally pay to listen to music you never own. Fohwtbs.

Shit is like paying for radio... i cant do it.
