Godfather of Harlem

Might end up being a classic. I guess Frank Lucas gonna be driving the whole movie:giggle:

American Gangster was a hybrid reality/fiction movie, Frank Lucas was never Bumpy Johnson's driver and by most Harlem native's account never really even was around Bumpy all the time, Frank was much lower in Bumpy's organization than the movie implied, Bumpy's Widow stated Frank may have driven Bumpy a few times but he was not an under boss or enforcer like the movie made it out to be.

All Hollywood movies are made up as fuck especially the so called true stories, never try to learn any history from a Hollywood movie, I'm sure this one will be just as distorted but still very entertaining.;)

In the movie American Gangster, Denzel Washington's Frank Lucas states that he had been Bumpy Johnson's driver for 15 years. In an interview, Bumpy's widow, Mayme Johnson, said, "Bumpy never had nobody drive him for 15 years." She admitted that Frank may have driven her husband a few times, but she said that her husband never saw Frank as anything more than someone he might have allowed to carry his coat. Former Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Karen E. Quinones, points out in her book Harlem Godfather that Bumpy was released from prison in 1963 and died in 1968, leaving only a possible window of five years that Frank Lucas could have been Bumpy's driver. Bumpy had never been out of prison for fifteen years. -Philadelphia Daily News

Can we please evolve or move our entertainment needle, Please!!! How many times are we going to be "entertained" by the same damn story, and ours always ends the same, death or incarceration, then death!!! Theirs, the Caucasian, is a rag to riches story beginning with the opium trade. Why should we be entertained by essentially the same story of momentary success, followed by misery and death!!!

How many episodes? I just finished #2 on Prime. Forest is a stone cold killer. The only bag man he needs is one to pick up the bodies.
