This is very simple. It is not our fault. Subprime loans we defaulted on were in the 50-150k range around here for the most part. The ones whites defaulted on around here were for 100k on up and up and up.

NOT ONE OF UM are saying that those 'balloon mortgages' are the root cause of the housing melt down. how loan companies where clearing people for $2,000 per month for 30 year mortagages, but not telling them/explaining that tha shiet would/could grow to a much higher rate. so two years later, people were suddenly being asked to pay over $5,000 per month for that same mortgage they thought they had locked in for $2,000 per month. banks thought they could get money on the front AND back ends....get the money from the initial buyer, foreclose on the home, then sell it again to someone else using the same trick. but they didn't expect the market on that plan to collapse and leave um all holding the bag.....shady azzed muh fukkas

I live in an upper middle class neighborhood and my neighbors who have lived here for years are dropping like flies.
Quite a few are retirees so the bs about people living above their means doesn't apply to all either.
It's a sad day when older folks who did their time in the trenches have to walk away from their homes to move into a 1 bedroom apartment.
My neighbor to the left of me is a retiree originally from Trinidad and a good old dude,he's giving his house away at half of what he would get if the market was decent.
