Jay-z on the cover of Forbes magazine with Warren Buffet.
That is like putting me on the cover of Forbes magazine with jay-z; absolutely absurd.

So, Why does the white power elite love Jay-z so much?

Jay-z owns nothing.
So, why do they love to act like he is some kind of Mogul or CEO?

Why do these rich powerful white guys that own empires love to be seen with him:
Maybe because they see him as safe.

Jay z is the ultimate safe negro.
a negro that knows his place.
he will gladly let you pimp his name for 10% while you make 90%.
At no time is he going to actually compete against these guys.
He is happy to just be seen with them.
Maybe make a couple of dollars.

look at the top 50 people on the forbes list.
look how they made their money.

some inherited it, others build companies that went public.

that is the only way to make it to billionaire status.

Oprah made it to billionaire status by forming her own production company.

Bob Johnson got there by selling BET.
the company he created.

the point I'm making is, none of them got there by following the Jay-z model.
Licensing your name and taking a small percent.

To really be a boss in this world.
you got to create and own shit.
take real financial risk.
Jay-z does none of that.

I know a lot of you Kats look at Jay-z and think he his some great powerful success, but in reality the guy is really small time.

Jayz is more successful than most black people in america, so what if he isn't as rich as the other white guys on the forbes list, dude didn't come froma rich family and made his own success. That magazine cover is just marketing, forbes trying to get a younger crowd to read their shit.

Preach, he's the ultimate bitch made coon...

He's what the white man likes to use as a symbol to blacks that they can achieve real wealth. Jay made his name selling ignorance to black youth, a rapper, rappers have been criticized for years for being ignorant and destroying the community.

But for some reason they love to pimp Jay-z like he's some type of influence to the youth, what exactly did he do? He's no better than a drug dealer that made it big time preaching ignorance and hatred.

you dont listen to much jay-z do u?

You judging a black mans success by measuring him up to the richest white people? How does jay success compares to yours, a fellow black man?

So who would you suggest we market for our youth to model themselves after???

Jay is worth $350 million or more. How much are you idiots calling him a coon, bitch made, a sellout, worth?

Instead of hating on the man, use him as motivation to get yours.

Crabs, I tell you :smh:

Big ups to Jay doing his shit!!!

In a way I will not want our youth modeled after jay Z. We have other influential blacks than Jay-Z. Doctors, lawyers, CEOs and such.

he is not the most successful, TUPAC is.

Simple Comparison:

Jay Z is Jessie Jackson
TUPAC is Malcolm X

was JESSIE JACKSON more successful than MALCOLM X just because he lived longer?

Gotta agree. It seems like as soon as a brother leaves the street image or his past behind him and begins operating outside of the hood model he's seen as a sell out or a coon. Its almost like the OP is saying unless he's down here with the rest of us he ain't shit.

You're part right, but give Jay credit for changing the rap game a bit.

Think, did you ever envision a superstar 40+ rapper?

Put aside all the tough talk on his albums, dude is plain jane.

No tattoos, jewelry, nothing too threatening for white America.

I think it's by design as to make him easier to digest for middle America.

Whether he attains billionaire status only time will tell.

P.S., strap your helmet tight for the Bubble Lip brigade assault.

You can't take potshots at these guys heroes like that. On this board, the ends ALWAYS justifies the means

The OP's shot was stupid. He's trying to make it seem like Jay's money is insignificant. Maybe it is to those 400 but to most its more then a life times worth.

Like how he made it or not the accomplishment is still note worthy. 350 million in 40 years aint nothing to laugh at.

peace

The nikka says he was a drug dealer & thats his claim to fame as the Ultimate Hustler yet the hustler & the drug dealer who created his image, were there & even his direct mentor are squashed into oblivion as the stampeed of stans & 'winner' lovers run to put him ona pedastol:lol: bt wuite sad inthe overall big pic; are those Stans I hear breathing hard?:puke:
Aint falling for it, reading that nonsense nor paying that propaganda any fucking mind;
Stopped paying the camel any mind a long time still ago.
Other than sales, what legacy has this kat created, how has the game grown & what wealth of opportunities have been created due to his success?
Buffet is CONSTANTLY opening himself up ininterviews, forums, speaking to young constituents, biz school kids, sharing perspectives & outlooks onhow he keeps doing what he has been doing; camel will sit up in a booth on MNF or EPSN without much to say or real reasonto be there past product endorsements, making core fans & media wondering wtf was that about.
Pimpin is pimpin is pimpin is pimpin
whatever, shit is tired as fuck

peace

right now, he is more successful than me
but
that is not the point.
my whole problem with Jay-z is this Mogul/CEO image he as going for him in the black community when he clearly is not that.

black man's biggest problem in this country.
lack of ownership and an inability to create.

Jay-Z personifies both of these things.

every time I see Jay-z in a suit or dressed up, he his surrounded by white guys.

Just once, I want to see Jay-z in a suit surrounded by a couple black guys doing something big without white guys.

dude is in a position now to do some big thinks.
but
he is content with being small time.
that is okay if he wants to play it safe
but
dude needs to stop it with the CEO Jay-z bullshit.

no tupac is the most influential.
were talking buisness.
2pac never started his own label.
2pac never had his own clothing line until he died.
2pac never owned clubs or part owned NBA teams.
jay does marketing with budweiser.
commercials for hp
jay-z has stayed relevent longer than any other rapper.
hes gone "hollywood" if you will but is still widely considered the best in the game.
11 #1 albums.
plus the charity work.
jay is that dude.

So licensing your name and likeness out to different sectors of business and making money for just being who you are is dumb?

You do know that is passive money that comes in without him having to lift a finger? Sounds pretty fucking smart to me. :hmm:

being in business for over 5 years allows you to have an open mind to certain ideas that are not thought of especially when someone of the same color and upbringing has a little more success track. I do not completley understand the reason Jay-Z and Warren Buffett choose to be on a cover, but it could be BS. Jay-z tried something, and it worked (he's still trying), it is still working for him and his family. If it is 10% on a Billion dollars is 100 Million if my math serves me correctly. So, his wealth means something to him and his family. It also means that he can take what he's learned throughout his rap and business career and build upon that. I'd be curious to find out what he does for the community! I would start there. If he's giving back....what is the problem? Still a Coon? Switch your frames up then; LOL.
I'm no big Jay-Z fan, I do believe that there is some degree of socialism BS going on here and Jay-Z is the accepeted icon for blacks; go figure.... But, to put a label on a man (black man) for making money and to be able to stand tall and proud in this (not equal) country, is concerning.

What big things? Whats he supposed to do? I get that Jay aint a master of industry but don't know many who believe he is. But he did master his own hustle to the tune of a couple hundred millions.

Jay-Z story can be told in many facets.Dealing with the children and youth I service everyday he is far more visible than a Black Dr,Lawyer,CEO. He put himself in position to succeed, "the best moat you can have is your own talent". Like Jay-z take the gift you have and mold it and no one can take it from you...

How many musicians have done this on his level?
Now tell me how many Black musicians have reached his same level?

Niggas always try to find a reason to fail instead of a means to succeed.

I get your point about visibility. You are right on that. It is sad that for the most part in the black community the most visible success we see are the entertainers and athletes. They can be used as examples that if you work hard, you can make something of yourself.

duppy_maka this is the equivalent to a poor person telling a rich person what they should be doing with their money. if you have not reached the level of success of the person you are criticizing for not doing big things then what value does your opinion really have?
