All the shit McGregor said about Aldo being too comfortable and wanting to maintain his championship was apparently true.

Hungry Lions are more dangerous ...glad I'm not in Chicago or Boston right now

The man backed up his talk and you guys are butthurt because he might talk more shit. Winners get to talk all the shit they want!

you reachin dude, whose butt hurt?

Im sure most of us just wanted a much more competitive fight because of all the build up,
mcgregor won fair and square, but only a rematch would prove whether or not it was a fluke..

the question remains.

will he get a rematch like rhonda??

Yep. And Rhonda got outclassed over 8 minutes. She's well less deserving of a rematch. We know who was the better fighter. We're not sure if McGregor can land that same type of shot/win or if he just landed a perfectly placed counterpunch that he couldn't repeat again.

Aldo's chin was up and he ran into that punch, in that situation anyone would get knocked out

You know how niggas are, they dont believe every dog has his day. Aldo a beast, Connor a beast. The cards fell the way they fell I love this sport becuase anything can happen.

Dana already said Frankie Edgar gets the next shot..lets see if he back tracks now because that fight was not satisfying at all. Plus...I don't see McGregor matching up with Frankie. If Frankie beats McGregor the UFC will have lost a lot of $$$ by not having that Aldo/McGregor rematch first.

thats all we saying!....

as a fight fan, we just wanted a longer more competitive fight....dudes acting like

we crying tears and shit cause aldo lost, as if we trained him for the fight...

truth is,

mcgregor did get in his head, and forced aldo to fight his fight,

toe to toe.

where as I wanted to see a fight of match ups, the elusive aldo vs mcgregor...

mcgregor won that fight before it even started.

Connor has that karate background just like Machida has. Remember when Machida had his undefeated run and no one could figure him out, it's the same way with Connor. once he move up a weight class that power and reach that he has won't be a big factor then

oh shit, forgot to come over- since tapatalk no longer works on my phone

Amazing weekend of fights. Congrats to all the winners.

To those who wanna be mad about who Dana fights to give rematches to and who he doesn't,

don't forget it IS a business. It aint ALL business, but business is in it.

Jose has skipped a lot of fights, and although they may have been good reasons, thats gonna come back to bite him now hat he needs a rematch.

Add that to the fact that he's ben champ for the whole time, and hasn't made himself available to the English speaking market- of course, Dana's gonna want someone in there who can make some money AND win. As long as Jose was winning, he had no problems. Now, we're here.

Also, in that weight class, theres other competition. This, combined with the quick KO, kind makes it easy to forget the 10 year run- the fans simply won't care. And by fans, I mean NEW fans- COnor fans. Fans who spend MONEY.

Ronda MAKES MONEY. He didn't protect her (and stfu to those who were saying it, then didn't have an argument when she lost- none of you predicted it)- he put her on the line. She lost, but she can get a rematch BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL PAY FOR IT.

Honestly, since Ronda says she will either win or quit, this is FAR from protecting her. It's throwing away your biggest star, because she's likely to lose. She MIGHT win, but now we know it's a HUGE risk. So, if she loses, he gets a huge night, but loses a star. If holly doesn't murder everyone she faces in the ring, she has nothing outside of the ring that will make people watch. They only know her as the girl who beat ROnda. Thats good for a few fights tops

And the funnier part is, Conor has that FLoyd Mayweather enterprenurial self promotion gene in him. He's already trying to call his own shots and him and Dana are going to be going at it over percentages every fight.Others have done it, but he has the promo skills to actually back it up Conors legit, the first guy who can go over to Bellator, Invicta, or anywhere and bring a ton of fans with him right now. Yeah, he's another great white hope, but best believe he's not just gonna roll over and be a company man when he sees it doesn't suit him.

Him saying he's gonna try to hold two belts is hilarious. And it might work- or he might enfd up like ROy Jones when he treis to drop to 145 again after fighting at 155. Or he may kill himself.

Still reeling a bit from Saturday's event. Was out of town in recent days and catching up on all the sites & podcasts and getting their take on it all. As for the previous card in mid-November too (UFC 193 - Rousey-Holm) ... shit ... it's been an interesting fall for MMA.

- Does Holm have to wait until July 2016 for the Rousey rematch?
- Does she get a fight (Tate) before then?
- Weidman beat Silva twice in 2013 (July and December)
- He'd defended it since (Machida, Belfort) prior to Saturday and Rockhold ground & pounding the shit outta him once he had mount & more
- All that build-up for Aldo-McGregor and we're left like WTF?! Most of us were hoping for Mendes-Aldo II in terms of level of excitement

Amajorfuckup - The post-fight presser on Saturday was mad late. They usually run then 30 - 45 minutes post-event. That shit started around 1 hour, 40 mins post-event. Around 11:40pm PST on the westcoast, so nearly 3am for those out east. Caught a few minutes of it before passing out. Headed out of town after 8am Sunday.
