So I'm driving the other night and pass by a skatepark. As I'm going along the car in front of me suddenly brakes ... a fox was running across into the skatepark. That would have scared a few kids and teens if it were a few hours earlier in the evening.
The next night I visit my cousin's place. They have a nearby forest a few minutes away on foot. He points from his deck down into the neighbor's yard. 3 fawn (baby deer) are grazing on some of the plants, flowers, grass, etc. The neighbors tend to be away alot so they can peacefully wander around in that yard. Cousin goes - "They don't bother with my yard. My kids are making too much noise on the trampoline and bouncy castle ... or racing bikes / shooting hoops out front", lol.
He's showing us around the yard and has a laugh. Says he was taking out the garbage to the side of the house in early-July. As he opens the side fence gate there's a bear about 15 feet away slowly walking in his direction. I asked him how big a bear, and he was like - "Big enough - definitely wasn't a cub" - Cousin freezes, slowly backs away and thinks "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK THAT!"
I asked him if any bears had ever crossed paths with the deer / fawn and he said he would keep an eye out, lol. Said it definitely scares the shit out of you when they're wandering around looking for food, and then you accidentally startle them & yourself in the process.
