No, he is

Just because someone isn't a NBA player after their first year doesn't mean they aren't one....and Drake is in a lot of first round mocks.
He has no handles; can’t shoot and has basic post moves; he’s tall and somewhat athletic; nothing special or great; borderline at best…

He doesn't need any post moves, he's a 3

He can dribble, that's not his role since he played the 3/4. He played a lot of one in high school.

and he shot almost 40% from three

Dude have you seen him play; he’s average! Nothing special about him; don’t care about mock drafts lol. Plenty of players drafted and don’t do anything; kid is a borderline pro at best…

I've been watching him since high school.

Half the year he started at the four

and I also follow the nba draft....I'm not talking about what I THINK, I'm talking about what I know and how scouts have him graded

He's 19 years old, long ass shit and can defend his ass off....PLUS he shot 38% from three and has a high ass upside

ESPN analysis

North Carolina just snuck into the tournament, earning a spot in a First Four that is relatively strong on prospects, including Powell. A poor team context as well as limited offensive skills made this a somewhat forgettable freshman season for him -- and though NBA teams still like his defensive upside in the long run, he'll have work to do in the predraft process to enhance his standing.

ESPN DRAFT

27. Orlando Magic (via Denver)

Drake Powell, SG/SF, North Carolina

Freshman | TS%: 60.4%

Scouting report: Powell might face a difficult stay-or-go decision this spring, with North Carolina ramping up its NIL efforts in a major way for next season and probably compelled to retain Powell and freshman teammate Ian Jackson. This is just one of many cases in which NIL spending power makes the option to turn pro less clear-cut for prospects who are not guaranteed to be first-round picks. A poor team context as well as limited offensive skills made this a somewhat forgettable freshman season for Powell -- and though teams still like his defensive upside in the long run, he'll have work to do in the predraft process to enhance his standing.

NBA intel and fit: Orlando has built much of its roster through the draft and holds two first-round picks. The Magic are in need of wing defenders and improved floor spacing, with the signing of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (who hasn't had a stellar season) intended to address that issue. Though Powell isn't there yet as a shooter, his defensive acumen could make him a viable developmental pick. -- Woo

All this is saying hes a bordeline pro at best!!! His offense is limited so he would be getting drafted on defense upside; and the point to all of this is North Carolina normally has pros that are good on their team; and they dont...
