I watched some of the bears pass plays
I say Fields missed about 3 open WRs/TEs, but I also saw WR/TEs not being able
to get separation on a majority of their route running.

Claypool gave probably one of the worse performances I ever seen
from a wideout. His body language seem like he didnt want to play.

Also, Getsy play calling was so bad, it seems like the packers
knew where the play formation and the develop of each play.
I know the players play the game but he became very predictable on his play calls.

I have to give fudgePackers coaches props, they made a simple effective game plan
for Love. Kind of reminiscent on what nagy should have done for Fields 2 years ago.
Fudgepackers notices that the BEARS DLine wasnt applying any pressure.
BOOM they opened the playbook in the 2nd half. GAME OVER!!

BEARS got outplayed in the trenches and outcoached.

I'm still quietly fuming over how we looked yesterday, but realize at the end of the day it is just one game. After hearing from Flus again later today, I'll be turning my attention to the TB game and expect to see a better showing (since that's all you can really do).

After having gotten the chance to look at the tape, I expect the media to grill him more this afternoon and him responding with more specifics on how they plan to attack things going forward.

My thought process in order to keep sane and level-headed:
You can say it's Field's fault for w/e your reasons are (I'm not in that camp, personally),
you can blame it on the OL for not doing the greatest job in protection,
you can say the coaching staff and game plan stunk after having an entire offseason to prepare,

...but the season is a journey.

We were the worse team in the L for a reason last season, so my first expectation is to show actual improvement NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES TO GET TO THAT POINT.
Whether that means demotions -- players OR staff responsibilities -- there should be no regard for hurt feelings.
If a guy can't do the job, it's Flus's job to do what needs to be done (ie. him taking a larger roll in getting this defense right or adjusting the offensive playcalling responsibilities, etc.).

I didn't have any specific expectations but I think Poles added enough to the roster for us to look better than that. Dudes sound dejected after the game as if they didn't believe in the plan. And that's on the coaches to correct.

They need to generate a pass rush consistently. I still don't understand why they cut Terrell Lewis after his preseason in order to sign some rando DE who was just as unproven.

Blitz more cause the front 4 have been incapable of doing what they need to particularly on passing downs.

Put Whitehair back at Center. Patrick has been given multiple opportunities and he's never looked good. I'd rather risk it with Carter at Guard and see what happens until Jenkins is back.

They def need to blitz more, mix things up and get creative to bring SOME kind of pressure.
NOT being able to get pressure with only 4 + still not being able to cover with the back 7 = Zero Sense.

Totally agree that we need to see what we have in Carter. Both Patrick and Whitehair are liabilities at this point in their careers. They talk big but I see them get pushed around too often these days. Gimmie talent over experience at this point and let the chips fall where they may.

... I think after last season, and if the early going of this season is any indication, teams seem to know that getting pressure right up the middle in Fields' face throws the whole offense off.

I don't know what needs to happen to counter that (Whitehair and Patrick don't seem like the answer), but they need to do w/e they need to schematically to work around that. Since they can't easily do anything about the personnel at this point.

But to run the same offense/plays week after week and hope it finally clicks for them, only to continue to get stuffed and bullied in the middle of the OL would be madness. Coaches will say "guys need to do their jobs" but at a certain point you can't give dudes impossible missions. Also, no matter how talented you may be in the middle of the line, if an opposing Defense straight up dictates "you are not doing anything up the middle today" and commits as much personnel as necessary... then its on the coaches to strategize around that in-game and in real time.

I think Alex Brown mentioned in the NBC post game show that last year, the coaching staff seemed really good at halftime adjustments, but that he didn't see ANY adjustments in Game 1. That was baffling to me. Unless GB's coaching staff and plan were just that much better Sunday (totally possible).

Right now it's not looking good for the coaching staff or Poles

The o and d lines don't look like an improvement and most importantly neither does Justin

Bruh I hear ya but I dont know when we can start saying fields isnt the QB
for our franchise. One reason being, the ineptness of the coaching staff
Getsy and Def coord Williams had one of the worse play schemes.

I realize its only the first game but Holy shit. Why is limp wristed TE
Kmet running a down and out, a wheel route and slant pattern. he could barely
run routes. That fool had a decent game but not like he was going to break tackles
or stiff arm anyone.

Eberflues actually didn't know why DJ Moore wasn't on the 1st an 8
near the goalline in the 1st half. Can you imagine the head fuckin coach
doesn't know why there #1 trade pick isn't in the lineup for a first down play.

THA FUKK, who does that.

Defense is literally playing the 2005 design of the cover 2, how to attack,
run up the middle and screen plays off tackles.

Honestly, it's everyone involved. They all needs to play and coach better.

We need to decide on Justin this year

It looks like we're headed for two top 10 picks with Carolina's and ours

This is a great QB draft

Bruh they ruined the whole season for me...smh lol. Now some of these fans want a new QB, talking about drafting Caleb Williams if we get the chance. Shit the Bears would ruin him too....lol year after year its the same ol shit. What I want to know is how do you have a defensive head coach and your defense still sucks. They drafted a safety and a corner last year in the 2nd round, this year they draft 2 D tackles in the early rounds, then the spent money on 3 defensive free agents, wait make that 4 because they signed the pass rusher? And the defense is still trash. :smh:

Flus is trying to be CEO and let Williams do his thing, but he's gonna have to get more involved for sure.

I like to give brotha's a chance but Alan Williams has been terrible, you constantly see guys missing assignments, dudes running down the field wide open. Then he don't make adjustments.

Also I have stuck up for Fields a lot but I don't like what I'm seeing from him in his 3rd season, don't get me wrong Getsy was terrible Sunday too but I'm starting to see consistent bad play from Fields. I swear he fumbles the ball every game and that int was real bad. Man I'm still heated from that loss. Dude I work with is a Packers fan and I got to hear his mouth all season long now.. Smh lol

Alan Williams isn't coaching this week due to personal reasons, I wonder what that's about
Yea it's tough to speculate even though the timing is curious. Hope everything is good with his health and his family, on a personal note.

It'll be interesting to see what the D looks like with Flus calling plays. I'm just hoping for more pressure one way or the other, especially since our Nickel situation is so fucked up right now (they say Blackwell may not play either after already losing Gordon).

It feels like we're still in the same position we were in game two of the 2022 season

Looking towards next years offseason

I'm close to wanting to clear everyone out.

I began this season optimistic.

Looking at this KC game

Look what Jacksonville gave up to get Ridley.
Look what we gave up for Claypool :smh:

Claypool, Jones and not drafting Jalen Carter might due in Poles

Justin is still holding the football too damn long and not securing the football :smh:
He's gun shy and a QB who is gun shy is a QB who has lost his confidence. You can tell DJ is getting frustrated because he's been open several times. The cries for Bagent are going to get louder and louder.

I just can't defend Fields no more, he's getting worse :smh:
