The funny thing is Eberflus said that he brought Getsy here to run that LeFluer via Shanahan type offensive scheme. Our offense looks nothing like that (even if you think it's a talent issue). Getsy runs something that looks completely different to me.

You're right. I still think that the offense looks better with Jenkins in the game. The over reliance on screens was infuriating. Tough to judge Fields when he still does not have time even though he still made mistakes. The Packers defense didn't respect the deep ball at all. Not addressing the center position in the draft or free agency is looking like a big miss.

The Packers showed up and we didn't. Onto Week 2.

Green Bay is just as young as us. They're proof positive that you gotta coach these guys up and have a sound system.

My observations that was mentioned earlier
BEARS DLINE/OLINE is complete trash, easily the worse
in the NFL. Outside of Dj Moore and maybe
Mooney, WRS and TEs are trash.

claypool is a bust for trading a 2nd pick
He gives away where the play is going
with his lack of effort, he cant block and he looks
unmotivated running routes the defense really dont have to cover him.

Kmet is draft-bust-layover from Gm Pace, he should not be with the
team he cant block, he cant run routes and he isnt physical off the ball.
I mean dbs was knocking him off his route.

I like our RBs tho, they legit.

Basically the fudgepacker coach outcoached the whole bears staff

Off coord Getsy called a horrible game, his play calls and play designs
were awful. For instance, How do you have weakass TE kmet running
a route like he is a wideout in the redzone. That hoe ass bitch literally ran
into the fudgepackers Db arms in the endzone.

That is wildly optimistic. I'm a life long Bears fan and I have them hovering around .500. I felt that I was being optimistic.

If this is what they are going to look like all year, then it might be 4 or 5 wins. Its just one week but that was embarrassing. The offensive and defensive lines need to show up. Same with the coaching staff. It's a long season but this better be the floor.

I'm still quietly fuming over how we looked yesterday, but realize at the end of the day it is just one game. After hearing from Flus again later today, I'll be turning my attention to the TB game and expect to see a better showing (since that's all you can really do).

After having gotten the chance to look at the tape, I expect the media to grill him more this afternoon and him responding with more specifics on how they plan to attack things going forward.

My thought process in order to keep sane and level-headed:
You can say it's Field's fault for w/e your reasons are (I'm not in that camp, personally),
you can blame it on the OL for not doing the greatest job in protection,
you can say the coaching staff and game plan stunk after having an entire offseason to prepare,

...but the season is a journey.

We were the worse team in the L for a reason last season, so my first expectation is to show actual improvement NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES TO GET TO THAT POINT.
Whether that means demotions -- players OR staff responsibilities -- there should be no regard for hurt feelings.
If a guy can't do the job, it's Flus's job to do what needs to be done (ie. him taking a larger roll in getting this defense right or adjusting the offensive playcalling responsibilities, etc.).

I didn't have any specific expectations but I think Poles added enough to the roster for us to look better than that. Dudes sound dejected after the game as if they didn't believe in the plan. And that's on the coaches to correct.
