Just got the email for the 3 courses at $9 each. I don't know what Udemy's cut is but this dude Rob Percival is making a killing!

As of now it say's 186472 students have enrolled in the "Build 14 websites" course.

$9 * 186,472 = $1.6 Million?

Damn, That's not bad at all for putting in the initial work to make the course.

Shit, The work I'm putting in now for what I'm doing is very useful and would make for a great course too!

I'm half way thru the IOS course, very good.

It's build as you go

After the first hour you will have built a simple app.

It's really good.

I registered for 1 of his web courses about a year ago. As I recall he starts of by walking you through the course objectives. Essentially summarizing what the course is and what he will teach you by the end.

From there (iirc) he walks you through the tools you will need to complete the program objectives. For me I believe it was some kinda programming/Web development I think HTML. The tools pretty much that he recommends you already have access to on your computer (A word processor/editor) and some other stuff available for FREE through various website.

Finally, from there it's just a series of lessons from basic to more advance. Building on whatever you're creating throughout the course. Obviously the key is the lessons you're learning can be used to create whatever "thing" you originally had in mind when you signed up. Now that does come with a little warning! While you might be able to create some basic to moderate things the chances that you will be able to create something "advance" through a course is likely slim. You would likely have to supplement it with other material/course(s) depended on how advance you want to get.

For the record the cost is one hell of a value..$9

The beauty of this is that as Apple continue to change the OS, the course changes and that $9 is subscription for life.


Torrents can't keep up.

He has also built in the classroom board so you could get help from other students.

In fact you could even partner with other students.

That can't be replicated by a torrent

I thinking about dabbing into the online teaching as a supplementary income. I already do math tutoring, but I want to step it up a little more into IT stuff.
