Heard on news that all Hollywood productions have shut down.

The fire has spread into the Hollywood Hills.

It’s also coming out that majority of folks who are losing homes/property have no insurance cuz the insurance companies dropped them or refused coverage.

Things are gonna get interesting when this shit is over….

And there are two threads on this fire that need to be merged.

I pray for everyone going thru this painful event what a major disaster. I've lived in So Cali all my life and never have I seen this much devastation. Those fire ambers are blowing 3 miles away and in some places NO WATER to get pumped up the hills. SMH

Shh...:ssshhh:easy_b is going to say there is nothing the mayor can do and that this is all Chumps fault

It’s dryer it’s La Niña and the wind is worse this year. Some people didn’t have time to leave their house. That’s how bad it was. And yes, this is due to climate changes.
You just repeated climate change. The wind constantly fluctuates and there’s no two cycles alike. The same wind river brought much higher amounts of rain on the Pineapple Express the at couple of years. It looks far more like poor woodland management, along with more houses, especially with more 24 hour new coverage, along with celebrity homes being endangered. Also, there has been a longstanding criticism of the governor’s handling of woodland management. He stated on NPR that his administration put in fire breaks on 90k acres, when California records show only 12k were handled. California has received good sums from the federal government for woodland management and has not done what they agreed to do. Also, nature is just that. Nature. We are wired to find some wrong, but sometimes it’s just our turn.

Yes, it is climate change. Don’t argue with me over this because you don’t have a standing counterpoint.

And you have no standing point. “Climate change “ is not some magical statement. It has to be proved. These are no where near the strongest or driest winds, nor are remarkable by any historical standards. And don’t you ever tell me what I can or can’t say. YOU don’t have the power to do that. Let’s keep it about the topic
