In SC there was a video that showed a cop shooting a Black man in the back and then planting a taser at the feet of the man he shot and the trial still ended with a hung jury, prepare yourself for a hung jury.
This case has had me nervous these past few days, the prosecutor is eating the defense alive and they using every desperate measure to get the trial thrown out including putting Travis on the stand to clearly lie making up stuff but like you said you can have all the evidence and jurys will still shock you and say not guilty or they couldn’t decide on a verdict. I’ve been reading the comments from people on social media and no matter what evidence they hear they will still try and focus on some “he attacked a man with a shotgun” lie, you will have jurors that have that same way of thinking

Can anyone with legal experience explain what the jury has to do. Meaning, is this all or nothing or can they convict on several but not all accounts and they still go to jail?

Her and one of the other Defense Attorneys attempted to ask the Court if Arbery's arrest record and previous incident of him running from a cop could be introduced as evidence to argue that he has a habit of running from authority even after the Court decided that was inadmissible. Then the Judge had to explicitly shut that down.
