It was a speech he gave at the time.
There is more to it.

Re: Albert Einstein Said Racism Is “A Disease Of White People”........... was he wron

Your request based on the topic at hand does not make sense because what you speak of is institutionalized discrimination.
This is different as that racism, if it is defined as a "disease", connotates something internal where my argument is that anyone can have it if that is the case.

To have institutional discrimination one needs power.
You can argue that the genocides and civil wars that certain African countries have gone through over the decades could constitute examples of that. However, that discrimination is not due solely to racism. There are other factors involved.

If racism is defined as a "disease" (which I personally think is unwise) anyone can have it because it does not need institutional power to come into effect. So I think my example of a black conservative is apt.
Okay you're trying your hardest to duck this.
Lets try using tha entire definition of racism which is a hatred or intolerance of another race or races.
Now again you don't need any power for that.Poor white folks who have zero power have a hatred of Black people on any social economical level based on them solely being Black and nothing else.
Now instead of ducking my question, show me any where in tha world were any race is being subjected to racism by Black people for tha sole reason of them belonging to that race and nothing else???????????

So your question is give an example of where Black people are racist against other individuals due solely to their race?
My answer of a hardline black conservative's racism to his own people is not sufficient?

I will speak of personal experience, the black hardline conservatives I've had experience around have very little justification to hate other blacks other than their race.

However another one would include any country where blacks and individuals of Arab descent are prominent. Without during a google search I believe there a few countries in northern Africa that have had and continue to have conflict due to that.

I understand that it gets murky when Arab/Islamic gets brought into the conversation because you are now discussing ethnicity and religion. But I believe it can be compared because race tends to be catch all reference for difference other than gender and age particularly where culture is concerned.

With absolutely no historical evidence from now and all tha way back to tha ancient days, House niggaz always use that argument that everyone can be racist.Okay cool now show me all tha Black people practicing racism and you get to pick any continent in tha world. All you get from them is a lot of lip and in tha end they say NOTHING!!!!

“As for the Negroes this country still has a heavy debt to discharge for all the troubles and disabilities it has laid on the Negro's shoulders; for all that his fellow-citizens have done and to some extent are still doing to him. To the Negro and his wonderful songs and choirs we owe the finest contribution in the realm of art which America has so far given to the world. And this great gift we owe, not to those whose names are engraved on this ‘Wall of Fame’ but to children of the people, blossoming namelessly as the lilies of the field.” [5]

“There is ... a somber point in the social outlook of Americans ... Their sense of equality and human dignity is mainly limited to men of white skins. Even among these there are prejudices of which I as a Jew am dearly conscious; but they are unimportant in comparison with the attitude of ‘Whites’ toward their fellow-citizens of darker complexion, particularly toward Negroes. ... The more I feel an American, the more this situation pains me. I can escape the feeling of complicity in it only by speaking out.”

Racism is America’s greatest disease” and “Racism is a disease of the white man.”

Black conservatives hate other Blacks because tha people they follow hate them to.They are trying to fit in.If those whites they were trying to impress lost all their power and influence then tha Black conservative wouldn't have to go out of his way to talk down on his own people cause their would be nothing to gain from it.AND THATS NOT A DEFINITION OF RACISM.Two people belonging to tha same race can't be racist against each other since 2 different races are needed in order for it to be racism.

You love white people and thats okay. But don't say they can't be racist without Black people being racist to.If you say that then you have to produce evidence that says yes Black people are racist because of them doing this that and tha third to this other race of people.

Sir, you are asking a hard question that most, if not all, white people know an answer too. They know very well that there is nothing like "black racism". In order for them to be deceitful, they will tell you of how their friends went to Ghana and that while in Ghana, most Ghanians thought that they were rich just because they are white... :smh:  These are the sort of examples of "black racism" that i usually get from white folks.

I be like  I wish all white folks thought i was rich just because i am black.

First, there are black conservatives who are in it simply because they agree with some policies (tax issues, gun rights, etc) who deplore the way hardline conservatives treat any race that's not white as the default. I've met those individuals. So at least I can say I have some experience there also. So your reasoning that they are there because simply to join the crowd is too simplistic. It ignores the reality of the situation.

Secondly, I disagree with your definition of racism. I personally do not see it as a "disease" but a social condition. And social conditions are malleable. One CAN be racist against his own race. These people exist and I've had the unfortunate displeasure of meeting them (shit, some of them are here on this very board). This is why I equate racism is hate. They hate the color of their own skin, they hate their kind, and this is the case for all individuals, white, black and between.

Personally I try to love everyone and give everybody the benefit of the doubt. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

And I gave you another example of the conflicts of Blacks and Arabs/Islamics. Why is that ignored?

Racism comes in one form and that is white supremacy. Thus, racism is white supremacy and white supremacy is racism. One has to be white to practise racism/white supremacy. One CAN NOT be black to practice racism/white supremacy.

And yeah, there is a difference between racism and hate.

Re: Albert Einstein Said Racism Is “A Disease Of White People”........... was he wron

It's unfortunate the OP didn't put the full context of the statement...

albert-einstein-papers-4x3.jpg

"“There is separation of colored people from white people in the United States. That separation is not a disease of colored people. It is a disease of white people. I do not intend to be quiet about it.”"

Thanks, this will help me avoid future misquotations and inaccuracies of this matter as well. Given what I now know, and also taking into consideration the race relations at that time period I'd have to say that Mr Einstein was wrong in his assessment.

Separation from the Caucasian devil would have been a very good solution to the race problems at that time. Take it or leave it alone.

Webster is not the authority on racism.
Racism is still a debated term throughout academia.
Anyone with a critical mind state would not take the definition from a dictionary.

Here is an example:

First Ivorian Civil War

Context of the conflict

The civil war revolves around a number of issues, particularly:

The end of the 30-year presidency of Félix Houphouët-Boigny forced the nation to grapple with the democratic process for the first time. Houphouët-Boigny had been president for the 33 years since independence, and so the nation's political system was bound tightly to his myth, charisma, and political and economic competence. The political system was forced to deal with open, competitive elections without Houphouët-Boigny for the first time in 1995.

The large number of foreigners in Côte d'Ivoire, and Ivorians of somewhat recent foreign descent, created an important issue of voting rights. 26% of the population was of foreign origin, particularly from Burkina Faso, a poorer country to the north. Many of these had been Ivorian citizens for 2 generations or more, and some of them, of Mandinka heritage, can be considered native to the northern part of what is now known as Côte d'Ivoire. These ethnic tensions had been suppressed under the strong leadership of Houphouët-Boigny, but surfaced after his death. The term Ivoirity, originally coined by Henri Konan Bédié to denote the common cultural identity of all those living in Côte d'Ivoire came to be used by nationalist and xenophobic politics and press to represent solely the population of the southeastern portion of the country, particularly Abidjan.

Discrimination toward people of Burkinabé origin made neighbor countries, particularly Burkina Faso, fear a massive migration of refugees.

An economic downturn due to a deterioration of the terms of trade between Third World and developed countries worsened conditions, exacerbating the underlying cultural and political issues.

Unemployment forced a part of the urban population to return to the fields, which they discovered had been exploited by immigrants.

While there are other reasons for the conflict at the heart of it there is an strong element of hate of someone who is not like "us". I think this should be considered a good example.

Its not racism. It is just them hating their skin. Like I would hate staying up late night when i have to wake up early the next day for work.

Like I said there is a difference between hate and racism. The former can apply to anyone in all contexts in regard to a person, thing, etc. The latter only applies to white people and their total subjugation/domination, in all known areas of people activity, of all non-white people on the basis of race and/or color. EVEN WHEN A WHITE PERSON, THAT IS IN A POSITION TO PRACTICE RACISM/WHITE SUPREMACY, tells a black person, "I LOVE YOU", they still could be praticing racism/white supremacy. Why? because the context of racism/white supremacy dominates EVERYTHING.

And my basis for saying that is that racism is a social construct. Being social it is malleable to the causes and effects of everything social. So it can change. It can be assumed in other forms.

It is not a disease that is specific to just one type of individual.

But please be clear I am not arguing that white supremacy/patriarchy is something made up and not to be taken very seriously. What I am saying is that racism, the thing that begets white supremacy, can happen anywhere and with anyone.

Racism does not beget white supremacy. They are one and the same thing. The people that came up with the concept of race are white and they went and constructed the world based on the concept of "race". Thus, it only applies to them as white people (those that are in a position to practice racism/white supremacy). They also went around the world telling other people that they too belong to a race. Thus, racism is white supremacy and white supremacy is racism.

Pls, point to historical and present evidence that refutes this and i MIGHT rest my case.

Thank you Sir.

And Kefta, this is where I think you have it wrong.
Yes, they constructed it.
But it can change. It can assume itself with other individuals.

So let's take patriarchy for example.
This is a construct designed by men.
But women are agents of patriarchy to their own kind.
And they do it especially when it's not in their best interest to continue an agenda of patriarchy.

It is the same with racism.
I think I gave a pretty good example with Ivorian Civil War.

I mean I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree here.
