DNA, Charron, Chef Trez.... ALL 3 of them can freestyle just as well as Clips can... but the BIG difference between them is... those other 3 guys ALWAYS WRITE 3 FULL ROUNDS... regardless if they can freestyle a whole round, or not. :yes:

They ALWAYS come fully prepared. :yes:

Personally, I like Clips but honestly, he is THE ONE & ONLY battle rapper who constantly comes unprepared with 3 full rounds... like every other battle. (It's soo annoying)

Chris Unbias said this battle was the worst performance Clips has ever had & he damn near got 30'd by Casey Jay. :smh:

I can honestly admit, last year... regardless if he battled a Newcomer... or a Solid Mid-Card Veteran... or a Certified Battle Rap Legend... Tay Roc took EVERY single battle seriously. :yes: And he was fully prepared for each particular opponent.

I watched this battle last January & had a feeling he was gonna be a problem for the whole year. :rolleyes:



Roc wanted to win COTY... BADLY.
And it showed. In every single battle he had last year. :yes:

He took NO DAYS OFF.
And Took NOBODY lightly.

There will certainly be excitement about him when he's released and whoever is unfortunate enough to be the 1st opponent(probably Danny Myers since he's the only battle rapper who both loves battle rap enough and is also crazy enough to put themselves in that position) is going to fight an uphill battle. But it's not like Surf is different from others in talking greasy about fans and disrespecting the sport itself by phoning it in or not showing up(Aye Verb battle for example).
There's no saving battle rap because it is what it is. The same stuff that caused issues pre covid is still going on now from unmotivated rappers, janky promoters, etc. and it's not going to change. Rappers beefing with other rappers and fucking up stuff over b.s., rappers and leagues falling out, etc.

I think Smack White needs to make changes to get people attention to want to watch battlerap again. I think there's too much childish shit going on with these dudes being emotional and disrespectful towards fans who support them because they wouldn't be here without the fans. Also, battlerap has fallen off because of the shitty cheap streaming smack uses and most times the event doesn't start on time or at all. ALso, smack doesn't even show the events no more like he used to which is why people don't bother trying to watch that shit no more. I do think battlerap can thrive with someone else in charge taking over to be smack successor since there's new batle rappers being born everyday who wants to get a shot to show and prove their talent with wordplay.

Covid did indeed fuck up everything because you hardly hear about anymore battlrrap events happening now.

Smack Whote was a huge part of the problem tho. Him and Beasley want inf to monopolize battle rap is another big reason why it sucks now. All the suing and battle blocking hoe shit, thinking they own battlers and making battlers feel the need to pick a side is all bitch ass, hoe ass shit

All they had to do was leave ARP alone and quit tryna monopolize and BR would be THRIVING, better than ever even.
