I bought my nieces and nephews a Series S and they loved it although the storage was limited.

The Series X is an overall better system and also comes with a disc drive but a lot of people don't care about purchasing the physical copy of a game anymore.

I've had two external Seagate hard drives at crashed. If you had good luck, good for you. I hope it continues.

External drives have let me down. That's why I only buy internal. They are totally different animals. I wouldn't trust ANY External drive for long term storage.

I love externals.....as long as they are sata and not solid state.
If a solid state crashes on u.....you lose everything.

Externals are very convenient but in my experience, they aren't nearly as reliable as internal hard disks.
