Not really my thing but the business seemed pretty interesting... the meeting was full of cats with legitimate careers claiming them making major paper doing this business on the side, but I'm a little skeptical Any of you brothers down with this business or tried something like it if so, how did it work out??!!

anytime you coming out your pocket...for a job..

the only job was the snow job ran on your asss

run before you stock your house up with shit you dont need and have your whole family hating you.

making some muthafucka rich, who laughs at all the idiots buyin his

"training" material and selling it down the line.. its NOT about selling products

its about selling YOU bullshit training material...

scamway all the way!!

I decided a long time ago to learn from others, fuck the hardway..

u been warned...

Their cleaning products are the shit.
I certainly wouldn't sink my savings into selling it though. :smh:

Think of Amway the way you think about Avon.

You gotta sell stuff to your friends, Family, coworkers, strangers etc

Amway was founded in 1959, so if it is a scam, I hope that it would be shut down by now
US$9.2 billion for the year ending December 31, 2010. Thats a nice scam.

I went to a meeting years ago and it felt like a religious cult meeting.
It was NOT for me, But could be for you,

:devil2:Did they charge you for the coffee during the break? :money: They did at a meeting I went to. All the stories of riches to be made and couldn't even spring for the coffee!!! I was out of there and dragged my cousin with me..........

I am a part of it, 23 years old - a teacher, only 6 months in.

I started out investing $200 and I didn't spent $200 all at once. I tried products one by one and each one I bought I would use half and do demonstrations with the other half. First of all the investment was for me to personally use the product and then do demonstrations with it.

If someone wanted anything I take the money FIRST, give a receipt and delivered if I didn't have the product on me.

My first sale I made back the money I paid to join and and half of the initial investment.

The plan and concept can be a little overwhelming, but if you start small and read the educational books your perception changes.

You may wonder why these fucking idiots around you are so excited about something that you can't personally see yourself.

But you will become excited once you see your first cheque too, I would and I did.

I use the money(retail profit) as a supplemental for gas, groceries and bills and I save the cheques I get to help the business grow.Eventually you may get bigger orders one day and wouldn't want to dip in your salary.

$50 dollars can become $450 if you let it.

How often do you buy something and then It creates money for you?

Eventually I may become like some of them who can fully quit their jobs and live off of it.

I heard of horror stories where people tried to cheat the system and spend all their money and end up burning out too quick because they lacked loyal clients. Take your time, have a mentor to motivate you.

It is worth it for me.

How I work it: I let people see me using the products, They actually work so I don't feel guilty when sharing what I've been using, It is flexible...I have seen my mentor's cheques this is no joke. Do not TRY it actually DO it.

People WILL tell you NO, dont take it personal, do NOT walk up to a stranger's house and introduce them to the products. I do demo's for family

and friends and through them I have met plenty people and business owners, gym owners etc. You have home products, health supplements and makeup

and car products to choose from. Choose which lane you want to start with and try it with family first ...they will be the first to discourage you. Now my father is coming around cuz he keeps seeing my bonus cheques and other cheques.

People have been selling Amway for years. Products are legit.

Like the other poster said, it's like Avon or Mary Kay.

For those saying it's ascam because you have to invest, All I can say is scared money don't make money. No business is free to start and Amway isn't a job as much as you would be an independent distributor of their Products.

You can sell it via facebook and use Paypal or any other Social Media as well in person demonstrations.

If it costs you two hundred to check it out then do it and just wait to buy the Lebron X's

I actually didn't know they were still around but they were big in the late 70's early 80's

Not what I would call a scam but you have to work your ass off. But you can make money. The reason I say its not a scam is they sell some damn good products.

The real scam was not putting up any pics of that phat ass that lured you into the meeting.

back in the late 90s, a Thai friend of mine tried to get me in. met his upline, who showed me a copy of this $90k check and told me "yeah, I made this LAST MONTH"...

invested somewhere around $150-250, liked some of the products, I was cool. family was supporting me and I was making little sales here and there. but then... these "meetings"... ugh... every week, a meeting at someone's house. they're handing out tapes. they go to these big monthly "meetings". I remember once, we all (me, my Thai friend, his upline and their family - they were all Indian) rolled down to Richmond for this huge event at the Richmond Coliseum... man, it was EIGHT HOURS of folks hitting the stage, thanking God for the business, talking bout how much they made last month, yadda yadda yadda...

That was the tipping point for me.

I'll say this - decent products, seen the MLM thing before... but them meetings and those tapes... it's supposed to motivate you to get your ass moving to selling, but it just sounded so cult-like to me...

That's the cult angle , it works for them
Becos they don't need all to excel, just a few at the higher pyramid level and they make bank while the rest at the bottom r busy salivating at the supposed checks of the higher ups thereby keepin them locked in dreamin about being a top-Tier distributor while the years roll by !!

It is multi-level marketing and the only reason they are not oulawed is because they have some politicians in their pockets. You will lose money like almost all multo-level marketing, The people who actually make money are the ones who start it. Stay away from it is the recommendation. It is not like traditional retail stores. Usually people delude themselves about Amway because people rarely want to admit they have been had and they usually double down just to prove otherwise. When they ultimately fail, the blame is put on the individual not trying hard enough and not the company being set up to put the individual in debt to the company. They are no different than the old company stores.

The products may be legit... but the business model and ways of recruiting scream scam, even it's not literally a scam. Assuming that like with other MLM businesses, out of the sales you make, a percentage goes to the person who recruited you, and on and on up the chain, right?

I'm not saying that it's impossible to make money in MLM, but I do think that it's very unlikely, and unfortunately, the people trying to recruit you for it are not gonna be very truthful about that. I had a guy approach me at the supermarket a while back, trying to recruit me for Quikstar, which turned out to be Amway buy its new name (at the time). First he acted like he knew me from work, and then he started talking about a business opportunity. I'm trying to get to the checkout counter before my frozen items melt, and this fucker is trying to recruit me for some shit without mentioning that it's amway :smh:

It just seems like a big part of the recruiting and sales strategy is to annoy people into listening to you and/or buying stuff to the point where if they are friends/family, they start screening your calls and avoiding you in the street. Salesmen are annoying by definition, but at least the Nissan sales guy from down the street doesn't rush over to me at the mall and try to sell me a fuckin Altima while I'm lookin at shoes.

But you do not have to go to every single meeting, The do it because that meeting can be the life saver for someone who is already in the company, or someone out there in their own lives without being apart of Amway.

Politicians and teachers have seminars, workshops, meetings out there asses too...but they don't go to everything. Stop using the number of meetings they have, as your excuse.

Even the educational section of amway, helped me in my own personal live...teaching me how to spend my money and keep out of debt. I paid off a loan I had in a year, now I have loads of savings and material things means jack....I prefer to save and be able to travel somewhere and live in a comfortable hotel and do everything I can in that new place because I have the money to. For me, amways is just another way to make money...if you do not like it, just move on. But you can't make loads of money doing the same shit you do every day. Try it, do it and see.

Yall listening to people who have failed is like listening to a rapist about how to respect women, it makes no sense!

I met the owner's wife at a benefit dinner. The dinner was in a museum and there were pictures of her on the wall. Like she was an ancient goddess or something
Filthy :money: I heard they owned a sport team.

how much they got you for that training kit..

dude this aint the fifties.

you can do the same shit with ebay or amazon, and training manuals are free on the net..

buy your own shit low and sell high, and you dont have to annoy your family and friends with your shananigans:lol:

BGOL niggas are dumb as shit. Just because you have to invest money to do something doesn't make it a fucking scam. If you want to run your own business, it costs money.... shit like Amway is comparable to joining a franchise. Amway is a fucking billion dollar company that has been around for decades.

niggas are fucking idiots, I swear.

Far from a scam. Use loads of theirs products and they work. Have people hooked on their vitmains. Not out their forcing anyone to join and I make some good money per month.

It's a Multi-Marketing Scam.
Easy way to lose Friends and not talk to Family
cause someone always get left holding the Bag

Tell me the major difference between joining Amway and buying into a franchise?

Also, network marketing doesn't require you to herass your friends/family. If you can't make money outside the circle of people you already know, then you're unlikely to be successful in any opportunity.

Amway is a job not a business. The only reason they call you guys independent business owners is because the corporation needs to separate itself from its sales force for liability reasons. They know they're in the game to pick up any tom, dick, and jane so they have to make sure they shield themselves from the misdeeds of any lackies that are picked up. But let's just play your game and act like it is a legitimate organization you're running. Guess what, you're running a business in which you surrender 100% control over to another for absolutely nothing. Amway controls your clientel, your profits, your bonuses, they control the talent you scout, they can reassign your talent, they can decide not to pay you residuals on money from the team you build, so on and so forth. It's one of the dumbest business ideas because you have no control. They make it so that when you leave, you leave with nothing...and if that's the kind of business you like then I'm happy for you.
