It's odd that people are so obsessed with Ant's personal choices, but they don't want to talk how Isiah Thomas rejected his oldest son and how Larry Bird denied being a father to his oldest child until it was proved that he was and then Bird still had a trash relationship with her:
Here's an article about Bird:
"I've never really known how to handle the situation" - Larry Bird on his estranged relationship with his daughter Corrie
Shane Garry Acedera
Corrie finally got a chance to talk to Larry Bird after the Pacers' last home game in 1998.
Boston Celtics Hall of Famer
Larry Bird made up for his lack of athleticism with an incredible basketball mind. Bird's uncanny ability to read the game, anticipate opponent plays, and make split-second decisions set him apart from his rivals.
But if Larry Legend had all right answers on the basketball court all the time, he was a mere human being like you and me off it. And when it came to his estranged biological daughter, Larry was almost always at a loss for how to relate to her.
"I can't honestly say I've had much to do with her life because of my differences with Janet,"
admitted Larry. "I think about Corrie all the time, but what can I really do now? I can't go back and relive the first five or six years of her life."
Larry's daughter from his first wife
Janet is Larry's high school sweetheart Janet Condra. The two married after Bird enrolled at Indiana State in 1975 and although they divorced a year later on October 31, 1976, she gave birth to their daughter Corrie on August 14, 1977.
Initially, Bird denied being Corrie's biological father. But after tests proved he was, he acknowledged it but never chose to have a relationship with her. After he got drafted in the
NBA, Larry set up a bank account for Corrie which she could not withdraw from until she turned 18.
"Corrie is a fine and beautiful young lady," continued Bird. "Her mother has done a great job bringing her up in the best way possible. Corrie is also very athletic. She's good at everything she does and I'm really proud of her. To tell you the truth, I've never really known how to handle the situation, but I love her and anytime Corrie needs anything, I will be there for her."
Bird finally had time for Corrie
Fate would bring father and son closer to each other, at least physically, when Larry accepted an offer to become the head coach of the Indiana Pacers. But it wasn't until the Pacers' last home game of the 1997-98 season when Larry's wife Dinah gave Corrie a pair of tickets to the game that the father and daughter finally had the opportunity to talk.
"I was really happy to go to the game,"
said Corrie. "Dad seemed interested in what I had to say. He walked me to my car, and he hugged me. I hope I can see more of him now."
It's unclear whether Corrie got her wish. She did, however, go on to graduate with a degree in Elementary Education from Indiana State University in 1999 and obtained her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. In 2008, she married Trent Theopolis Batson and had the complete family she never had as a child.
ISIAH THOMAS' SON:
ISIAH IGNORING N.Y.-BASED SON

The estranged love child of Isiah Thomas has moved to the city and is living less than a mile from his absentee dad’s home court, but father and son might as well be living on opposite sides of the planet.
Marc Dones, Thomas’ 21-year-old out-of-wedlock son, enrolled at The New School in Greenwich Village last month. He is living in a dorm just 18 blocks from Madison Square Garden, where Thomas works as coach and general manager of the Knicks.
Still, Dones told The Post last week his relationship with his father didn’t amount to much.
“He knows I’m here, but that’s all,” the writing major said as he smoked Marlboros with classmates in the bitter cold. “I haven’t been to a Knicks game, and don’t plan on it.”
Thomas reportedly had a two-month affair with Dones’ mother, Jenni. She filed a paternity suit against Thomas when she was six months pregnant in December 1985, just four months after the then-Pistons star married Lynn Kendall.
“She [Jenni] told me as soon as I was cognizant” that Thomas was the father, Dones told The Post last year. “I’ve learned to live with it.”
His mother never married, and he was raised in a two-story townhouse abutting a golf course in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
Last year, The Post revealed that Thomas ignored countless phone calls from his son, even though the Knicks coach and general manager had agreed to provide him financial support.
In 1987, the NBA superstar agreed to pay $52,000 and $2,764.78 a month in child support, and a lump sum of $100,000 when Dones turned 18. “He hasn’t been a good dad to me. He’s never returned my calls – that’s just him,” the aspiring poet told a Post reporter last year.
Last week, Dones suggested The Post story was the catalyst for his father to finally pick up the phone.
“I have spoken to him” since the story ran last year, he said.
Dones, whose high cheekbones and long forehead resemble his dad’s, said his father played no role in his decision to come to New York City for college.
“When I got into The New School over a year ago, I knew my dad was here, obviously. But my father wasn’t a factor in my decision to either come or not come here.
“I love New York. . . and hope to live here after I graduate.”
But despite his moving from Michigan to the city, the distance between him and his father remains.
“I’m living my life, and I hope – just because who my father is – that I can still just live my life,” he said.
As for the tell-all book he was shopping around last year about his life on the sidelines of his father’s fame and fortune, Dones said his mind has shifted to his school books.
“Right now, I’m focusing on my classes,” he said. “I’m focusing on me.”
A Knicks spokesman said Thomas declined to comment.

& I didn't even bring up Dr. J's rejected tennis playing daughter ( even though they tried to make up when she was an adult). As for Karl Malone and his 13 year old baby baby baby mama literally...that doesn't even need to be said.
