I rock Talley & Twine, two Brothers out of Virginia.
I'm waiting for this one to come back into stock.

Introducing: The New Generation of Sinn 903 St Navigation Chronograph
Sinn's classic aviation/navigation chronograph with sliding rule, the 903 St, gets refined with new lume blocks, upgrade WR and new colours.monochrome-watches.com
if i saw a pelagos in the wild, i would definitely compliment it. the blue one is really striking
been looking for a 'blue' blue watch for years now. the one that comes closest to what my grail would be is the smurf...but that is an above and beyond price level
why the chronometer and not the professional 300?
personally I want last gen 300 professional chronograph - this gen the ceramic is too shiny for me
It really boils down to - I'm a tool watch kind of person.
I really dislike the 300 professional. I hate the shape of the case, I hate the hands, I hate the round indices, I hate the shape of the bezel notches,
I hate the bracelet-I hate how the crown guards affect the shape of the case..... that's a lot of hate, lol.
I like the laser-etched dial- the one that looks like waves, and I like that green one they have.
I can live with the gigantic helium escape valve at 10:00- the planet ocean has that too- but i dislike almost everything else about the professional.
The diver 300 (Professional) looks more dressed up than the Seamaster 300- which I think of as a waste. it has a lot of needless flourish. It makes me think of a luxury off road vehicle that will never see the dirt... all that "tool" utility in a watch for guys to only ever wear them in offices and board rooms, 300m water resistance and I've seen a guy take one off to wash his hands.
the movements are a tie for me- the 8912 in the Seamaster 300 is a little bit better than the Professioal, but it's also like 2k more expensive, so that's fair.
As for the 300, I love the sandwich dial, the broad arrow handset, the austere (and coin-edge) bezel, the bracelet and the fact that it has no date. It's more a tool- looking watch, which is more my style.
I dislike the size, of the 300. At 41mm it's close to the smallest watch I'm willing to wear. I have a pretty large wrist, so I dislike this whole smaller watch trend. I wouldn't buy the 300 without trying one on first. Loved the look of the Sinn 556 / 856, but at 38mm/40mm they are just too damn small for me. which is why I'm also looking at the panerai 112 or 8 days.
Sandwich dial
simple design with no date and no seconds hand
great history / heritage
decent movement
44mm
like the crown guard
killer lume
hands are decent- they fit the aesthetic of the watch
a little more flashy with a polished case, but still looks very tool-like
* I guess I just love that 3/6/9/12 layout..that's what I loved about the 556/856. I also have a bell and ross BR 01-92. Same-ass layout, lol.
imo Panerai's are at their best with minimalist faces like that

collection is good - none of your watches need to be serviced, avoiding temptation by staying away from dealer / stores....for anybody that has not gotten into watches yet and is on the fence...one word...don't...this hobby is an absolute beast when it comes to $$$...a drug that starts small [inexpensive stuff, one puff] leading to full on gripping addiction...one day you're sweating a $200 purchase...next you're justifying a 5-figure one...things that didn't bother you when you started, you begin to nitpick towards perfection as you go...i hate it and love it...just like having baddies in your life...wish i had simpler and more modest tastes but it is what it is
