$STSA is the play today. I've been in since $5.
the stock dropped when they had bad news regarding their phase 3 trial....went from $23 to $4.60.
I jumped right in. it should rebound quick.

I entered late and I am still up. Thanks for the heads up !!!

yeah PRTK has been slow grinding over the past week.

$NIO is definitely one of those long term holds along with a few of the other EV companies, imo. Now if you have the cash reserves to hold and watch them slowly trickly back and forth while making slow gains then it works. But there are other scalping opportunites that are passing by while your money is tied up in those positions.

I've had $NIO for a couple of weeks and meh. Seems like when there's some big news is when those tickers move their feet. Outside of that its like watching paint dry.
I’m holding a small position in NIO under $14 so happy to watch that slowly rise. However, the main NIO plays I’m talking about are selling PUts to folks who thought it was gonna drop. I knew deliveries announcement was coming and would pump it up. My mistake was selling a few of the PUTs at too high of a strike price. I didn’t see Tesla and the tech sector dumping like it did.

Man...The stock market is some crazy ass manipulation SHIT!!
The game seems to be options puts the majority of the day with big sell-offs as a catalyst to drive the stock price down.
Then buy calls super low with big buy-offs to drive the price back up. Ofcourse at this point your strike price and breakeven numbers are alot more feasible.
Wash/Repeat...

Playing the over reaction to bad ( or good) earnings report. Stock drops to new lows. Buy it at the bottom and hold until it recovers to it's previous price.

Good stuff and I get the general strategy. However this market seems so bearish that hardly anything seems to be able to go bullish. But i'll add it to my repertoire as well!

Welcome to the CLUB!!! (buy a share or two of $RKT, you'll thank me later... long term hold)
I'll take a look for sure. I have to be mindful of what I can invest in, because of work, but props to all of you who keep contributing and sharing.

Have Faith Young Padawan!!!!

I know how you feel, I went thru the same thing with Microsoft a month ago, they dipped on me and I was ready to cut my losses, then 3 days before the exp date they went up and I made $300.... so be patient and never, NEVER risk more than you are willing to lose....

from another student just trying to learn.

I'm a firm believer that paper trading is good to get your feet wet and understanding how to navigate your platform. But real learning doesn't happen until you got some money in the market. There's nothing like looking at your positions and seeing colors (Red/Green). Paper money can't simulate that stuff. You need to lose and win some to get real perspective.

Are you an accountant? I have a special friend that works for a major accounting firm and has the same restrictions.

AGREED!! It's called "Having Skin in da Game"... Good Luck

...also remember same rules apply to this as in Gambling and the Drug Game... never risk more than you can afford to lose.

This upcoming week is going to be interesting.

  • SNOW IPO
  • Buying TSLA next time its <= $360
  • Testing some long strategies using ITCHIMOKU cloud
  • Buying DPHC next time it dips (I hope it does)

Wonder what happens with $ORCL price action in the next couple of days? It's being reported that they're in the drivers seat for TikTok

Trying to buy oracle Cakes now.

I'm going to need to look more into it. You'd think something like this maybe a catalyst for a bullish run. But the market has been funny lately.
I'm thinking about taking out a call option with a late expiration date.

Moved all my stash outside of some January calls to Apple. Hold positions in some good etfs but gotta decide and I did. Apple is a great long play.

Was just coming to post this. I'm long NVDA, but def interesting for the options folks as well.
