Yea but IV will be high that week because of the event. Ya best bet is to sell before the event. That week
Alot will depend on the price action for me. I have a bunch of contracts with strikes at $47 and under. If the run up is what I expect then $NIO should be in the $50s or higher. If that is the case I will likely just hold til expiration or very close to it depending on how deep ITM I am. Most of my contracts are below $45 so I feel pretty strongly on the case to hold through the event.

Of the two which one looks more optimistic and why
That’s what I bought 100 shares of VVPR present to myself. Right on.

what stand alone sources do you have for real time information?
WKHS has the contract looming, but thats 2Q I believe. Thats the only thing it seems they are banking on. No news on innovations or other contracts.

VVPR just got another contract and its cheaper, so I like it for the multiples. I'm not in love with either company, so I'll just be playing them for the flip.

====

Today, WKHS broke through resistance, but didnt hold. They are just riding other EV news for any kind of movement.

So in the new Year I will def be getting some Square and Shopify.
Ive watched and wish I pulled the trigger earlier. Im still using an advisor but he is advising me lol.

Small business all over are starting and using square. I use shopify for my website and both Square and Shopify do the no interest loans, which Ive used both its a sign that they are getting free money and will keep growing.
Go grab SQ today! I got in the 40's and then scooped more yesterday at 77 but its down around 65 today.... The market was crushed yesterday but the CFO stepped down as well. Its like the perfect storm. Its a fart and not a shit storm the smell will go away.

2 weeks ago this was closing in on 90!

All goes well you will be up 20-25% on your dough in no time.

Thank me later by buying some oils!

Square Stock Punished After CFO Steps Down

Investors were not happy to learn that Square Inc.’s (SQ) Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar is leaving the company to become CEO at Nextdoor, a social network for local neighborhoods.

Shares in the payments processing company plunged 10.34% in extended trading after CEO Jack Dorsey broke the news of Friar’s departure on Twitter, despite having already fallen 10.12% during Wednesday’s broader market sell-off.

Investors Mourn Friar’s Departure
In a note shared with the Square team, Dorsey spoke of Friar's "lifelong ambition" to run her own company and how his happiness that she is fulfilling her dream outweighs any sadness he is feeling. However, the negative reaction shows just how highly Friar is thought of by investors. The former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) research analyst and Salesforce.com Inc.(CRM) executive was considered the most likely candidate to take over the reins of Square from Dorsey, should, as many expect, he eventually decide to run his other company, Twitter Inc. (TWTR), full time.

Some even viewed Friar as the real leader of the San Francisco-based firm, given that Dorsey already has his hands full running another public company.

Friar joined Square in 2012. During her tenure, she played an important role in the company’s expansion into financial services, leading the charge as it began lending to small businesses and letting consumers buy and sell bitcoin through Cash App, Square’s money-transfer service.

She also guided the payments processing company through its tricky initial public offering in 2015. Since then, the stock has more than quintupled in price.

Dorsey’s announcement of Friars departure led to backlash from some people on social media. Dan Primack, business editor at Axios, described Dorsey as “the vision” and Friar as “the execution,” adding that her exit represents a “big” problem for the company.

Square’s CEO responded by playing down the importance of individual figures at the tech firm. “I’m so happy for Sarah. She’s going to be great at running a company. Square is different tho,” Dorsey wrote. “We’re organized by business unit, like Cash, Caviar, Seller, Capital…and a lead/CEO for each. They are the execution, not me or Sarah. Square is built to be a durable ecosystem.”

The company confirmed that a search for Friar’s successor is now underway and will be led by David Viniar, a Square board member and the former finance chief of Goldman Sachs. Friar will remain in her current position until December.

I get exposure to SQ through a few of the ARK ETFs for now, DEF believe in where that company/stock is headed.

I've had eyes on QCLN for a minute, but couldn't reasonably fit it in to my portfolio w/o spreading myself too thin. But I'm up over 170% on my position in $PLUG (currently $35/ share... my cost-basis is $13). So maybe it's time to flip those proceeds over into QCLN. I gotta do some research on how much farther both can still run up and decide. Or just keep DCA'ing $PLUG and keep that move in my back pocket.

I would not be surprised if there is an American Express or some other company tries to scoop them. Smart leadership and they have tapped into Small Business, and the youth, which is the future.

...and the unbanked in emerging markets that either don't have access to or don't trust big banks. Read an article a few weeks back that opened my eyes to that.

Like I said in the other thread, we bought Square about 7 years ago, because my wife would use the app when she was selling her crochet hats at an open market. After we got home, she asked me had I ever heard of the company, and I told her that I hadn't. She then asked me if it was okay to take a couple of grand and buy some stock, and I told her to go for it. One of the best decisions we made!

Facts. Remember QCLN has holdings in Tesla, Nio, Plug, those 3 are close to 20% weighted. It is damn near micro managed, Ill look one week Nio is first holding, next month Tesla, its wild but overall its made my year great. I got in the low 20s first and got more at 27.... Early on I was on some buying all this sexy shit, but its like these managers are KILLING the 500. All my ETFS are killing, QQQ, Franklyn Dynatech, VIG, VOO, MTUM. I also got some homeruns this year, Draftkings, and Celh did well but 2021 literally tossing the sink at VGT & QCLN, Ill probably do the health Vanguard as well.

Peep this... VGT 10 years if you have 10k in would be 60k.... 100k would be 600k. 200k you sitting at 1.2M..

Any young brothers in here doing well, have disposable income, grab Vanguard products.. Maybe Apple, MSFT, etc. In 20 years you will be sitting on mills and wont have to roll over in your bed and make 70-100k a year. - Thank me later...

Yea man. The top holdings for VGT are solid ...I invest in a few of them individually (NVDA & INTC). Between my 3 longer term accounts, right now I'm rolling with the following ETFs:

1. VUG-VXUS-VNQ-ARKF,
2. SPYG-VSGX-ARKK (might add QCLN here)
3. VT-ARKW

Stimulus wildcards are back in the spotlight next week for investors after President Donald Trump threatened not to sign a major economic stimulus package approved by Congress after intense negotiations. A particular focus will be on airline companies like Delta Airlines (NYSE:DAL), American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL), United Airlines, JetBlue (JBLUE) and Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV) that are balancing cash burn rates against waiting too long to bring back furloughed employees. Meanwhile, the major vaccine development of the week could come out of India, where an approval on Oxford/AstraZeneca's (NASDAQ:AZN) vaccine is anticipated.

no BB, i didn't get SQ this year. i remember in march looking at it when it was in the 30s and i kept telling myself to buy it but i didn't get the chance to. I have regretted it ever since. a $10,000 call no matter the expiration date would have been easily turned into $100,000 by now. but it's all good. glad you made some money tho

remember Jack Dorsey was in africa for a few months this year and i know he had to be there doing two things...finessing some fine young slim african women and doing what you just said above...but in regards to the latter tho, he might be late. there are lot of other companies waaay ahead of square in the payment processing space in Africa especially

Yea fam Im learning these options, I got it down but on Robinhood they dont have trailing stop losses so Im going to move my bread or start another account so I can do. Im really a long term investor, it just makes more sense to me, since Im mid 40's I cant be losing money when I KNOW I can get 10-30% a year if I follow the SNP, couple index and good companies. Maybe a swing on Draftkings, and a couple of others that blow in a year.

I made some money on option plays this year but like I was saying Im just not confident yet. I really want to do more though.

good. just keep doing what you doing and stay consistent. don't invest more than what you can afford to lose and don't get "greedy" (this last part here is very important"
