AMTD IDEA Group Shares Up Sharply After IPO of Unit AMTD Digital

12:47 PM EDT, 08/02/2022 (MT Newswires) -- AMTD IDEA Group (AMTD) shares were up 352% in Tuesday midday trading after its AMTD Digital (HKD) unit completed its initial public offering of 16 million American depositary shares.
AMTD Digital (HKD) said Tuesday that ADS trading in the NYSE was still undergoing an initial stabilization period where the underwriters have been given a green-shoe option to buy up to 2.4 million additional ADSs.
AMTD Digital (HKD) said that during the period since the IPO it "noted significant volatility in [its] ADS price and, also observed some very active trading volume."
"To our knowledge, there are no material circumstances, events nor other matters relating to our company's business and operating activities since the IPO date," AMTD Digital (HKD) said. "The company is also monitoring the market closely for any unusual trading activities or abnormalities."
AMTD Digital (HKD) shares were up 129% in recent Tuesday trading.

Shit, I hope so. Data center is where they're making money. Still only a third of $INTC by revenue in DC but $INTC won't have a product that can compete for at least 2 years. I'm still holding out for the ATH.

Intel (INTC) is nearing a deal to build an advanced semiconductor packaging and assembly plant in Italy, estimated to be worth $5 billion initially, Reuters reported Thursday, citing two unnamed sources briefed on the talks.
According to the sources, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi was aiming to secure an agreement for the project by the end of August, before the country's snap national election on Sept. 25. Reuters said sources have previously disclosed the government could fund up to 40% of Intel's investment in Italy.
The final decision on the plant's location remains pending, Reuters quoted the sources as saying Intel and the government have already shortlisted potential sites.

Tesla investors are expected to clear the way for the company to complete a 3-for-1 stock split at its annual shareholder meeting. The company says the move is aimed at making ownership more accessible to employees and individual investors. Tesla needs shareholders to sign off on issuing shares to complete the split.
