That's how it should be. When I was in high school, by favorite thing to do was check the interest rates and head to ING Direct. They were an online bank that offered the craziest CDs without minimum limits. I always prided myself for buying a 5-year CD right before the economy went to poop. I had those people calling me to cash it in early.

I get paid weekly. I buy CDs maybe twice a week. Thank you Bankrates.com.
I remember that. I used to have that ING Orange account before it flipped to Capital One..

5.5 APY 9-MO CD (for folks that want to lock up their loot for that duration).

I've been messing with T-Bills (4/8/13 week) Rates are decent there too (investment rate):

Rates are a bit higher because of this debt ceiling show down. Now if the gov defaults. All fixed income (Bills, bonds, cds, munis, etc) will feel the effects.

Are T-Bills variable or fixed once you get in?

They're fixed but work kinda different. The rates are based on an auction where competitive bids determine the rate of return. The t-bill itself is discounted based on this rate.

So for example the 4-week T-Bills above: if I wanted $10k in t-bills it would costs $99.545778 x 100 ~ $9954.58 Then the value increases over time (1-month) to $10k at maturity or you get roughly $46.

Seems trivial but it's a guaranteed rate of return. And if you buy new issues, no state tax. Good for the short term with these rate increases bc of the short durations. I basically use the t-bills as a savings account. Not as liquid as having money in hand but you can sell before maturity, if needed.

Amazon is offering Prime customers $10 to pick up their purchases

Amazon.com Inc. _ is offering shoppers $10 to pick up a purchase rather than have it shipped to a home address, in an apparent move to reduce home delivery costs amid slack consumer demand. In recent days, the e-commerce giant has emailed an unknown number of Prime subscribers with a $10 offer to pick up an order of $25 or more at locations such as Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods or Kohl’s stores, according to a Reuters report. Amazon did not respond to an email message seeking comment

Interesting. Until now they've offered a "faster" delivery by going to pick it up with no $$$ offered. I doubt I'll use that though. When I need it quick I just buy it locally.

That is a great deal especially with the current inflation and bear market

It was mad easy to do too. I don't typically bounce around to different accounts for better rates (probably a bit to my detriment)... but it was a few simple questions, that's it. Was able to transfer funds from the Spend Checking to the new account within like 10-15 mins.
