Are you ever disappointed by your favorite rapper's homophobia?

Thats where you are mistaken. It absolutely effects me as a straight black male. Black homosexuals have equated straight black males as the enemy and coined the term "the new white male." In doing so, they have been able to garner support from "straight " black females. Again, I dont care what or who a person does. But you can not ignore the fact that black men now have contend with LGBTQ community, some of our black women, and the rest of society that despised us for being black men.

Lastly, it effects me because I am censored in my speech and thoughts. If I was to publicly say, " I think homosexuality is wrong. You can do it if you want, but I think it's wrong." That statement isn't offensive, but they would do everything in their power to ensure I was publicly crucified.

If you want an on honest conversation, you need to be honest about the situation. I tend to see that those who are pro-homosexuality, often have a narrow viewpoint which ignores reality and facts.

You seem to have a misconception that a movement in any direction is progression.
 
My question for the OP is, why does it bother you so much that people don't want to accept homosexuality? Just like we shouldn't worry about what two men do in private, you shouldn't worry so much about us not liking that shit. To each his own, even when it comes to acceptance OR NOT.
Are you gay? Is that why you are going in so hard about straight men accepting a man being gay?

I dont know that Canibus "song" was extremely irritating. Black Rob had that lane and you can't make a 6 minute song about shit like this.

back when I rapped I recorded some incredibly homophobic lyrics. Getting mad at other rappers for doing the same thing is hypocritical.

If people judged me solely based on those songs, some of which were recorded over 20 years ago, I would make buju banton look like Harvey milk.

Also, let's be real, a lot of these so-called homophobic rappers collaborate and make friends with gay people all the time. All the f-bombs in the world doesn't change the fact that Eminem and Elton John are close friends. It also doesn't change the fact that every rapper alive was benefited by the work laid down by well known homosexual Afrika Bambaataa.

I wont play blatantly anti-gay songs in my DJ sets, but beyond that I'm in no position to judge.
