Never, because not every artist is going to conform into the popular bullshit.

And there are going to be new artists who will be inspired by some of my favorite artists, and I'll be interested to see what they come up with to re-introduce their influences to the new generations.

I wouldn't say I stop listening to new music but I dont listen to the mainstream garbage that's out now.

If,you're from Cleveland I'll listen to you.

If,it's a chillhop instrumental I'll listen to it.

If,something catches my ear I'll try to find it and listen to it.No matter, what genre it is.

Overall, I mostly listen to the music I grew up on and music my parents listen too. It's been this way since my early to mid 20s....lol

My issue is that there are plenty of great artists out there, but since ClearChannel owns ALL of the radio stations on the planet, you will never hear them unless you're listening to a college/ university station. Even then, the student DJ's usually don't bother mentioning the artist or name of the song.

I usually hit YouTube or SoundCloud to find talented amateurs OR old school artists that have continued to master their craft.

onpoint...I'm 35 now I say when I got around 33 I stop checking these mumbling artists....I still keep up with the Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole etc drops...and I have guilty pleasures like The Migos other than that I don't really keep up with these new artists

I will say this...there are some artists and labels that turn well known hip hop into jazz...I really like those. Can't think of them now but I'm sure someone can post them.

Great riding music for a first date or background work/school music.

Moby on Spotify: "When I first got it, I was like 'Oh, I'm gonna hear all this new music' and, immediately, I used it as a nostalgia machine. Basically, Spotify is my high school playlist. My musical tastes sort of ended around 1984, so modern music might be great but it can't compete."

Shit I stopped way before 33.

I will look for and attempt to seek out GOOD music on occasion...but just whatever is thrown my way? Hell no. Went to a party not too long ago and didn't know shit until the DJ put on Poison.

I think I stopped listening to new music when I was much younger, early 20's. I grew up on Prince, Rick James, Parliament and EWF. Black music changed after the 80's, hip hop became the predominate style of music and I could never really got into the buffoonery. I also think with school's cutting funding for music, there's less great musicians than in the best, fewer real bands like EWF or the Commodores.

I own 2 cars. In my old work hoopty, either I don't listen to the radio at all or it's an old CD. In my new family car, it's siriusXM 80's on 8. I rarely listen to new music and I can't stand sports talk radio.

If something comes out and I like it I’ll listen to it. I can’t imagine only listening to music from past. The past has great classic music but I’ll always need new music to listen too.

The newer stuff I listen to nowadays tends to be more so-called "New Age", Ambient, Solo Piano stuff.
I can't listen to much of today's Pop music.
It all sounds practically the same.
It's like novelty has now taken over substance.
Especially with Black Music.
It was the total opposite up to the mid-90s or so.
Music is straight-up novelty TRASH now.

I mostly just listen to older stuff now when I listen to R&B/Soul, Rock, etc.

The newest thing I've been listening to is this.
Though it's actually been around for a few years.
I discovered it by accident on a torrent site.
One of the BEST things I've heard in age...
